It is not clear that he did anything wrong and if he did it is so minor that it would be like putting someone in jail for life for a parking ticket. I just had my cable stations disconnected because I am not interested in this garbage anymore.

It is very clear what Trump did was an impeachable act specifically named in the Constitution. In fact, the President has done several impeachable acts. Nobody who is watching the hearings can dispute that since all of the witnesses are testifying first-hand information under oath. The garbage is what Republicans say in their efforts to keep America's worst domestic enemy in office.

I did a search, it looks like she said: that Russia’s goal was to weaken the United States, partly by sowing internal dissent. So this is all a communist plot?
The nutshell summary really doesnt do it justice.

And Russia parted ways with communism a while back. Now its sort of a mildly permissive one-party kleptocratic security state.

What did he do? It is not clear that he did anything at all. Other then trying to dig up some dirt on Biden and it looks like he did not have to dig very much. Gardening tools was about all he needed. It is not like he had to get out the heavy equipment.

You know what he did if you ever read the July 24 phone call transcript. He bribed Zelensky, then had the full transcript saved on a secret classified server even though it is unclassified and released a summary to hide the quid pro quo. So there was bribery, treason, abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and probably extrortion.

I think the US'ers are quite capable of going at each other regardless.

No, this is impeachable abuse of power. There is nothing usual about it.

What about the other high crimes I mentioned?

They all sound like what God didn't like about us as a species. Self oriented

All species are self-oriented to varying extents, so you can forget about that.

They all look like impeachable crimes because the U.S. Constitution says so.

As we enter week two of the House impeachment inquiry, it seems pretty clear that Democrats are suffering a massive ordnance failure. Their “bombshells” are not exploding.
Sort of reminds some of a filibuster, eh? talk, talk, talk, talk, ... ... ... ...

And probably if not certainly A LOT LESS HARM DONE to the country than would have been if someone else had gotten into office.

The complaints seen and heard on television all add up to a balloon full of hot air, with no substance, compared to overall politics and society in general.

If you can't prove this, you are wrong. All of the evidence stacks up against Trump. America would not be nearly as bad with anyone else.

The Democrats are not playing a partisan game. They are doing what the Constitution orders them to do.
The Constitution never ordered them to do any such thing. The spirit of the Constitution has it that they should exercise common sense and good judgment in assessing these things. The framers were very concerned extremists could use impeachment in a partisan way and warned against such. Pelosi said herself in the beginning if she didn't have bipartisan support it would not be good for the nation. So what changed? Not only was THERE NOT bipartisan support for it there was bipartisan support AGAINST IT.

Where does the Constitution say explicitly Congress should not go through with an impeachment inquiry - which is what they are doing now - despite finding evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors just because there is likely to be partisan division? If the evidence is there, it must be done.

Also, two Democrats don't really count as bipartisan opposition in the big picture. I can't even guarantee they will vote against every article of impeachment when the hearings are over.

Is having cable disconnected the new “sticking your head in the sand?”

I do wonder about people who get their info from TV rather than reading it.

For me it is the old stick your head in the Bible, have the Mind of Christ and the Divinity of God, not the carnality of man. Be Heavenly Minded and not hell bend on death and destruction.

For those who have read the last chapter in the book we know where all of this is going and where we are going to end up at.
