popped up that person in video "uploaded a photo of you" onto FB

is that possible to take my pic and/or a photo off my iPad?
couldn't check as not on FB
If you have your usb charging cable, that should function the same to transfer photos and videos to your computer. When you plug the cable into your iPad and into the computer, a box should come up on the iPad, "Trust this computer? Yes/No" click "yes". Then the ipad icon should come up in the removable drives section on your computer. If that happens, you should be able to use your iPad as a disk drive and locate your photos to download to the computer. Sometimes you will be asked, "Do you want to import photos?" by clicking "yes" all the photos on your iPad will download to your Pictures library.

If the photo has come from email or internet, it is possible to save it into a gallery on your iPad, and then transfer it to the computer.

If all else fails, you can email it. I have an alternative email address in Gmail for that purpose, because I can't email to myself on the same email. I have sent photos to my computer that way from my wife's Samsung phone, because of the real mission trying to transfer stuff from that Android phone through a cable.

I hope that helps.

I don't know ... but I put a small piece of masking tape over the camera input lens just in case it is possible.

Oh! I see. I've never heard of that. It is very unlikely. The only way that someone can upload a photo of you wold be that you had put a photo of yourself on somewhere like Facebook where anyone can access your Facebook page and take your photo off it.

But IOS is more secure than Windows. I have heard of the possibility of someone hacking into a computer and taking control of the inbuilt camera and recording you looking at your computer. But with a good virus checker, the computer user is immediately alerted of it and can take immediate action.

But there is a blackmail scam going around saying that your webcam has been hacked and you have been caught accessing inappropriate content sites and they have a record of the sites and a photo of you looking at them, and if you send $250 dollars to them, they will erase the record, otherwise if you don't send the money within a certain time, they will supply the information to all your friends on Facebook and Messenger. If you get one of these, don't send them anything. It is a total scam and a lie. They haven't got anything at all on you. It is to frighten you out of $250! So, just erase the message and do nothing.

I hope nobody hacked your device!

I have a nephew who is in IT/software business and he says Apple products are the easiest to hack. So, be careful. What you describe is companies trying to scam you. Don't watch videos for "rewards", even for games. That's how they get you. In fact, I'd recommend not playing games if you really want to protect your device from hackers. JMO.

Applying tape to camera and microphone is a good preventative measure. Technology has alot of spyware these days!

I made an error in responding once to a free iPhone offer and had to jump through a whole lot of hoops, and then got overwhelmed by hundreds of spam advertisements. It was a real click bait trap. I had to uninstall Google Chrome and reinstall it to get rid of them. I thought I might have had to do a total re-install of Windows at one stage, but I got away with it. That was a real learning experience!

I am still getting emails telling me that my package is ready, and they are using our local supermarket name to try and trick me into clicking onto the link, but the reply email address is nothing like the supermarket one, and it is not even a New Zealand one! These scammers are getting more and more cunning, and one has to look carefully at return email addresses when an email offer arrives.
