2020 to 2030 is predicted to be a time of Awakening by God.

Dennis, I don't even know what that has to do with what I wrote, let alone agree or disagree with it.

My point is that a time is coming when the pressure to raise funds to keep a TV network going will not be so great as it has been these past few decades. As Satan's kindgdom is taken down by Messiah...... his attacks against the works of God will be defeated.

When that happens there may be a time when Evangelists don't have to bother asking for money.

Until the year 2000 I did not know that there were Christians who still got
amazingly accurate and powerful messages directly from Messiah Yeshua - Jesus.

My wife has proven to me over and over again that what was available in the first
century is still available and my impression is that Hank Kunneman is the real deal.
This is a profoundly encouraging and powerful message that you should not miss.

Of course it costs money to run an important TV program. It's the way the pitch is made and when it is made that raises some concerns.

I've certainly been offended by the
approach that many take but...... it has paid off to not give up on them
but to keep on researching for a time to see if this is the real stuff.

I just listened to another of Hank Kunneman's sermons that explains a lot
about this. He got converted in 1984... by 1986 he knew that he was being led
in the direction of the prophetic......

Apparently he was shown a lot about each year from 2020 to 2032.... but he is not free to
tell everything yet but must wait to be shown when to release more about each year.

I'm finding this profoundly encouraging because I know that my first teachers
concentrated too much on what was scary...... but it is only logical that there must
be a positive side to what God is doing at the same time that the darkness is also growing.

Isaiah 60:2 "For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.{

For decades my teachers concentrated on the "gross darkness" .... but it seems like they were saying that "his glory" would only come after the second coming..... but I now see that this was overly pessimistic.

God through Moses gave us a test about prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22), "If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." Wait for a decade and see if the sound, awakening, the increase of Christians in those countries, and the fall of communism he says will happen do come. That's Moses' test for false prophets.

Katherine Kuhlmann said that it costs everything.....

Kathryn Kuhlman - The Call and the Cost

For the record I personally do not understand the following..... I haven't really done this myself....

Luke 14
“If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.

And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple.

“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?

"I believe in this last hour.....all the fruits all the gifts of the Holy Spirit will be restored to the church."

Hmm. A "church" that features a light show, a "clergy couple," and the evangelist making an appeal for contributions in the first paragraph of his remarks.
I've heard my fair share of sermons just before the collection plate gets past around.

That video made me think about the scripture, “To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling to one another, “‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.’” Luke 7:31-32

I'm not buying that message.

OK.... what about this scripture.... .is it a joke?

Ezekiel 22:30 "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."

If...... God finds somebody at this time in history who truly wants to die to SELF.....
so that the Holy Spirit can guide them.......
has God given up looking for people who are really serious about searching
for God who want to be used by God??????

I'm over half way into it. My take: Seems to be a bit hypey, which is not my style. But after peeling that away, what he says seems pretty sound. Contrary to what's been stated here, I haven't heard any pitch for funds so far.

Charismatic “Prophet” Says Abortion Gives Demons the “Blood Right” To Carry Out Mass Shootings

The terminology he uses might seem weird, but the legalities are solid. Any society that countenances the killing of the unborn opens itself up to a wholesale devaluing of human life and the family, with an attendant increase in violence, perversion, and destruction. One should be able to appreciate that on the practical level even without acknowledging a spiritual component to the equation.

But God no longer uses prophets since the completion of the NT.

Now you've gone to personal opinion.

Truly well said paul1149. A big part of the problem seems to be that many of us
have given up on the idea that God even still heals sickness and disease in 2019.

Well.. .at the 12:27 minute mark in this video begins a testimony where if the
man is acting........ he should get an Academy Award.....
because what he tells about his cancer that had began at his prostate and spread to his hip and spine..... and about his healing
is impossible to just make up! This is kind of funny because the man did not believe in women preachers at the time of his healing!

Yes.... I can see how the crooked ones would turn you off......
talented actors don't all make a living in Hollywood... some of them invade the Bride of Messiah!

But I do believe though that we are going into a time period when liars.... who try to lie within the church may come to realize that the days of the power level within the church exhibited to Ananias and Sapphira are coming again.......

Acts 5

But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,

and kept back some of the price for himself, with his wife’s [fn]full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet.

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land?

“While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not [fn]under your control? Why is it that you have [fn]conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last; and great fear came over all who heard of it.

The young men got up and covered him up, and after carrying him out, they buried him.

Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.

Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.

Then Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.

And immediately she fell at his feet and breathed her last, and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.
This guy Kunneman is not poor. He has more suits of expensive clothes than I ever had and I am not poor. Online images of him in the search engine DuckDuckGo.com show him in all sorts of fancy outfits. How many shoes does his wife own? Not all of his “prophesies” came true either. I would not invest 5 cents in his ministry. I am not dropping dead either. I did not set foot in his church. I do not owe him a minute of my time. Better to send an anonymous donation to ChristianForums.com.

Mark 12:38 (WEB) In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces, 39 and the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts: 40 those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”

Moses tells us that the latter rain will be greater then the former. That means that the latter church will have more power then the early church to bring in the harvast. There is going to be more evil in the world so people need more of the power of God to overcome that evil.

As Charles Dickens said: "“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

I am not as sure that He heals so much as I am sure He still will rise us up from the dead. I can not even count how many times I would have died if the resurrection power of God was not working in me to raise me up from the dead. I am sure the angels are keeping track and I will find out when I get to Heaven.

Sounds like he has already received his reward in full. "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full." (Matthew 6:2) "store up for yourselves treasures in heaven"

I agree. This is the whole point. Where exactly is the equivalence to scriptural prophesy here? Why is this taken as being the same quality or in the same league as scripture?

Being able to predict the future is WAY different than begin a prophet. The ability to be a prophet is predicated on being able to be a conduit for the work of God and not to be a soothsayer or to be into divination. These are not the same thing as being a prophet. Not at all.

Given that, it's absolutely and completely irrelevant if the predictions come true or not. Predictions by evil sources can be true. This 'correctness' does not matter.

No offence is meant in my saying this but you may as well start paying attention to Hinn, Hagee, Meyer, Oprah, Osteen and that crowd if this is what kind of predictive ability or general self-help advice you are after.

For something more solid and main-line regarding protestant theology, you may consider trying videos by Charles Stanley. That guy is pretty on-point in my view. If you do see his videos, you will notice that he is into the basics of reading the bible, interpreting what it says, and applying it to real life. There is not much there about prophesy of any kind by him, and there should not be if you ask me.

Let's reword some scripture for the sake of provoking some thought.

'You who boast in the prophecy, do you dishonor God by breaking the prophecy?' Romans 2:23 NIV

When is comes to extreme examples about popular preachers who have used scriptures to frame future events, I do find a rather large joke of irony. From personal experience Herbert W. Armstrong throughout his life time was convincing enough to make some Christians believe the end of this age would occur in "our" lifetime. He is now dead. My heart is still beating so where does that leave me?

Similarly Harold Camping had to eat a lot of crow after his ideas about future events.

My personal conviction is to avoid using the prophetical writings like a horoscope. They're vague enough to be absolutely true. Yes I too want a man "that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap", it makes a lot of sense but God can have other plans that don't fit in with our long or short term thoughts about the future. 2 Peter 3:8

Great comments!

I was an Atheist in 1972 at the time that I began to listen to Mr.Garner Ted Armstrong and I am so glad that he got onto TV.... because he got me up out of Atheism.

But he and his dad taught that almost no real improvements would occur until after the fulfillment of Zechariah 14
when finally the Second Coming of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus would occur......
and then Jesus - Yeshua in person would fix everything.......... along with his Legions of angels and resurrected saints.......

but ..... to me this meant that I didn't have to worry about bothering to
really die to Self.... so that I could accomplish much of anything with my
life in the here and now for God!

So one of the big surprises for me..... since breaking away from the Worldwide Church of God is that I personally might just be able to accomplish more than I might have imagined back when I was a teenager back in the 1970's.

It was the near death experience of Dr. George Ritchie as quoted by
Dr. Raymond Moody that began my break up from the WWCG.

Dr. George Ritchie's Near-Death Experience
. His Experience of the "Receiving Station"

Jesus then takes Ritchie to another realm and is shown a kind of "receiving station" where spirits would arrive in a deep hypnotic sleep because of a particular religious belief they held to be true. Here there were "angels" trying to arouse them and help them realize, "God is truly a God of the living and that they did not have to lie around sleeping until Gabriel or someone came along blowing on a horn." These are the spirits of people who believe they must sleep in their grave until the second coming of Christ (i.e., soul sleep.)
