I think it is universally recognized that, that attempt has failed. Trump will remain in office.
The Dems. knew from the start that the Rep. majority Senate would not convict Trump. And many, maybe even most, of us knew this as well.

But the Congress has the duty to investigate, impeach, and prosecute public officials at certain times and this appears to be one of them.

This gets back into what is deemed conspiracy theories like the one concerning the FBI and DOJ, filling up a 757 in Little Rock Arkansas, in relation to the Clinton Foundation. Again, it's not that it didn't happen. People absolutely refuse to listen, so it has been marching on, all these years, without them even knowing it was ongoing. It was dismissed and forgotten, but something that is completely ignored doesn't just end because no one will pay attention to it. Im mean do people think the investigation had it's feelings hurt, and it slunk away because people debunked it online? Or other issues for that matter?

You are talking about a different investigation, this investigation we are seeing public hearings for is about possible wrong doing by Trump. Not you nor any of his good foot soldiers will change that. Honestly, if I were Trump, I would be furious if the best defense people had for me was “Someone else did something wrong.” They’re not even defending Trump’s actions anymore. They are just trying to make them look less bad by comparison. This would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic coming from the party of “Personal Responsibility”. Ronald Reagan must be spinning in his grave for the sorry state of the Republican Party.

Trump embraces his actions. He doesn't think he did anything wrong. Withholding military aid from a foreign country in return for a favor that benefits him politically is just another transaction. What's the problem?

I disagree.

The president has every right to DEFEND himself.
Exactly. May God bless and protect him from the evil intended for him and by extension the American people and America

Well, you know, a businessman writes a check to someone, but before he gives it to them they have to pay him back for what he's done for them in the past.

In this case, before Ukraine could get the military aid that had been allotted to them, they had to pay the US back (reciprocate) for what they had already done for them in the past. One way that they were told they could do that was to investigate the President's campaign rival.
Problem...how is that paying the US back for what US had done for the Ukraine in the past?

Taxpayer dollars in the care of the US government can't be used to finance a campaign's opposition research, even if the campaigner is the President of the US.

Are you supposing that anyone involved the anti-Christ or even that because no one has moral ground the anti-Christ is coming because I may be less than half your age, but I do know that it has been like that since Adam and Eve. People have always lied and cheated. As to treason folks committed it to have this country to start with what else would a war for independence be called. Treason too, has been around since the time there have been states and I do not mean the fifty states.
This is all very true. The world has been on a path to the antichrist since the day Adam fell. God's word proclaimed it, and God's word echoes thru time. A lot of people think the 'tribulation' is going to begin at a set point like throwing a light switch, but in reality it is just one last monumental re-iteration of what's been building all these millennia. What's going on now is nothing different than what's gone on before, except imho it's being done more blatantly out in the open, and the masses are being blinded to it more than ever before.

Which, again, if we believe scripture, shouldn't surprise any of us.

The defense doesn't get to call witnesses until the trial. This is the equivalent of a grand jury - where the prosecutor makes his case for indictment. The defense never participates in a grand jury.

There are some differences, for sure - a grand jury almost always meets in secret, and any potential subjects of indictment are not publicly announced until after the grand jury has approved indictment. A grand jury is also meant to be impartial, which is an impossibility with impeachment (where the grand jury is composed of the House). However, in terms of outcome, this is the same thing. Impeachment is an indictment, not a conviction.
It's a shame so many VOTERS do not know that civics lesson.

Congress and whoever, just wasted millions of dollars, etc etc etc etc etc ...
'playing' along.... it's all shenanigans to them it seems, AND EXPENSIVE for the taxpayers , but HIGHLY ? PROFITABLE for ALL the politicians profiting from it extremely ....

But not that way. Trump does have the authority to appoint and decommission ambassadors, he's not wrong there. But making public commentary while the testimony is still under way ... bad move. Very bad move.

Exactly. The gov'ment runs on quid pro quo. You don't get aid until you address human rights violations - good qpq. You don't get aid until you smear my opponent - bad qpq.

Again, it's a shame so many people don't understand the difference.

Non-voters too..... who knows enough to put an end to the shenanigans ?
Well again, it's not going to come to an end, it's going to get progressively worse until Christ returns. And honestly, there's no way we're going to vote our way out of it.

COOL way to put it.....
Like struggling when in quicksand, the more struggling done, (voting/ or actions by voters and politicians) , the deeper they sink....

Just how is either side guilty of treason?
The core liberal agenda pushes abdication of personal responsibility, and a sexual free-for-all. The core conservative agenda serves only one god, mammon, at the expense of the poor and working classes. And neither recognize any limits, legal or otherwise, to advancing their dogma.

Both positions are treasonous before God; And the actions taken in those pursuits are treasonous before the nation.

Biden ran for president to shield himself from an investigation that hasn’t even started at the time? Impressive mental gymnastics! I suppose him being the immediate clear front runner was just a happy coincidence too?
You know, just because Trump used potential information for his own good instead of the country's, an impeachable act, it doesn't mean Biden's innocent. For all we know (?) Obama may have pressed the Ukrainians to withhold an investigation.

A fraction of the evidence is all you needed to hear?
notice what Jesus says:
MY sheep KNOW MY voice.
(and follow ME - they will NOT follow another (when they HEAR another voice, they RUN) )

so, all it takes, is TRUE HEARING/ KNOWING the voice is JESUS, or something else..

i.e. only a word or two spoken.... can be enough....
