Again, did the apostles who were martyred fail somehow to walk in the authority?
To be martyred is a choice and they receive a reward or a crown. This is not a condition for salvation during the church age. Although there is reason to believe that this will become a condition of salvation during the tribulation period.

I don't know where you are trying to go with this. I stand by the first statement I made on this thread: just because someone is Christian doesn't mean they are somehow immune to the sufferings and evils that are common to humanity. Any argument that says Christians, by simple virtue of being Christians, have some special protection is going to be understood by me as absurd. Every one of us suffers and dies, Christian or not.

And any argument that says, generally speaking, those Christians who do suffer are somehow not "walking in the power or authority," or that they have caused their own suffering by not being faithful, or that it was a choice, or whatever other lame reason comes down the pipe, I'm simply going to cast aside as an offense and not worth consideration by a reasonable person. I am sure you are a reasonable person, so...

Could we say that this is evidence that they are not walking in the power and authority that we have in Christ? Or that the people assigned to protect them are not walking in that power and authority?

No. Why do you want to blame the victims of rape for what happened to them? What spirit of hatred is whispering in your ear?

Pray FOR Saints, Pray FOR men, don't pray TO them. The only entity you should pray TO is God.
This is part of why I dislike Orthodoxy and Catholicism and even some of the new age Evangelical mega churches and televangelists. They put too much emphasis in mortal religious leaders

If saints can help us, why not pray to them?

I know wordly women is not protected from rape.
But do God protect His chosen from rape?

God protects the soul. The flesh is not, and should not be, much of a concern.

Because where is the help really coming from, from them, or from God? If a saint who is in heaven with the Lord now is helping you, what they are doing is pleading your case before God, and God is intervening.

God, being God, already knows our "case" fully and completely. Why is pleading necessary?

You are like a little wind up doll. Pull your string and the same words keep coming out.

It's the act of asking that's important. #1 It's relying on the Lord, we need to be dependent on God. That's His will. #2. It shows selflessness on the part of the person who is asking the Lord to help someone else. He knows your case and also knows whether or not he's going to intervene. That's all His plan. But He also knows whether someone will plead to Him for you, or whether you will plead to Him for someone else. He still wants you to ask.
