When I was on graveyard shift at work, all I did for most of my 12-hour shift was surf the internet and watch Netflix.
I'm now on days and don't have time for such things, but I do still try and watch some shows on my days off.
Currently watching The Shannara Chronicles, which is a sort of Lord of the Rings type series set on earth 3000 years after a nuclear holocaust. It's an MTV production so of course there is cussing, millennial drama, and girl on girl kissing. But, thankfully no nudity or over the top political messaging.
I'd rate it a 6 out of 10 for a fantasy series.
Just finished watching The 100. Remarkably about the same type of show, only set 100 years after the nuclear apocalypse, and no elves or trolls. Same rating.
I have gotten a little addicted to European crime dramas, however.
I watched Shetland, Broadchurch, and Fortitude one after the other and enjoyed them all immensely.
I've begun watching the classic series Midsomer Murders, which began in 1996, I believe.
It was funny that when I started watching it, I didn't know that it was so old. It always seemed that British fashion and culture was always a bit behind America's. It was only after the first episode that I noticed one of the vehicles was in remarkably good shape for it's age. Then I realized that the show was filmed 22 years ago.
So I then decided to jump ahead and watch an episode ten years newer, in 2006. I couldn't tell any difference in the clothes, hair styles, mannerisms, or production style, LOL. Only the actors had aged and Barnaby had a new partner.
But, the shows are rather long, at an hour and forty minutes each episode, but they are well done and generally interesting.
