a) the First Ecumenical Council established the Paschal Canon and appointed that the feast of Holy Pascha may fall anywhere from March 22nd until April 25th, while with the New (Papal) Calendar it can fall as late at May 8th.

b) The Gregorian (Papal) Calendar has been condemned by three Pan-Orthodox Councils under Patriarch Jeremiah Tranos (1583, 1587, 1589)

c) Through Synodal Patriarchal Encyclicals in 1593 Patriarchs Jeremiah of Constantinople, Sophronios of Alexandria, and in 1848 Patriarchs Anthimos of Constantinople, Hierotheos of Alexandria, Methodios of Antioch and Cyril of Jerusalem placed under serious penances whoever accepts the reform of the Orthodox Ecclesiastical Calendar.

d) The change of the old calendar was prepared and imposed upon the Greek people by the certified Freemasons Chrysostom Papadopoulos (Metropolitan of Athens) and Meletios Metaxakis (Patriarch of Constantinople) in cooperation with the military coup of Plastiras-Gonatas without the assent of the other Orthodox Churches.

e) The push for ecumenism largely comes from secular forces who seek to water down Christianity even further.

Just to set the record straight, the revised Julian calendar has the same date of Pascha as the old calendar.

Show me where those numbers are explicitly used. I'll wait! The date of it in terms of the equinox and the full moon seems to be what matters.

Our parish priest told us that during the reign of Andronikos II (1320s), the calendar was 8 days off in re to the equinox & solstice. A calendar change was studied but never formulated; the Church seemed ok with it. The only reason, I guess, that the calendar was not changed was because of social upheavals.

Side note, from what I recall of Andronikos II is that in better times he may have been a great emperor. He seemed like a good person and competent; there were too many problems for him (or anyone) to deal with.

But wasn't the Calendar issue settle in an Ecumenical Council?

at least the date of Pascha was. Councils also address good Church order. but in the beginning, the Church's initial attitude toward even when Pascha was celebrated, was live and let live.

We should all go back to the old calendar. The New Calendar has added to the spiritual rot of the faith conflating secular festivities with religious ones and have even co-opted them.
I agree

Forget it. Not going to happen. Let us concentrate on something else, more effective. I do not say that I am happy with the situation.

Hint: the problem of the calendar(s) is in fact the problem of (dis)obedience to Church.
