Welp, fixing to be homeless come Monday.
This is just so wrong. Does your landlord not understand how making just a little more money has the consequence of putting fellow human beings out on the street? Does that prospect honestly not give him any pause?
Praying that we found a place...
We were just talking about this at work. I'm impressed all around. The redesign looks great, and they seem to have made other improvements as well. The fact that the studio listened to the fans is amazing. Let's hope other studios follow their lead. This is a game changer, no pun intended.I must say that Sonic does look a whole lot better. Props to Paramount for listening to the fans and addressing the serious issues with the design; I know that's not easy nor cheap to pull off. In fact, I don't think that's ever happened before.
I'm not really fond of the story revealed so far in the trailer, and find the humor lackluster. But I may still check it out, especially now that Sonic doesn't look like a mutant spawned out of a horror movie. To me, the design is a modern re-imagining of Sonic done right, and shows how animated characters can be given a realistic look while maintaining stylization (avoiding the uncanny valley as much as possible in the process).
The first design was laughably bad, I'll admit; it takes willful effort to fail that hard. Although, I do wonder if the whole thing was orchestrated, simply to give us the best memes the internet world has ever known.1:03 the fans reaction to the first sonic design.
Sonic has had the best glow up of 2019. Now he doesn't look like a mutated rat with a monkey's body.
Seems like they tried to go for a more "realistic" look for the first design while keeping all the elements that made Sonic recognizable but they went to far into realism. You're talking about a talking blue hedgehog that wears shoes and gloves and runs at supersonic speed while collecting rings. There's no way you can try and make that realistic without it looking creepy. Just look up 'realistic Simpsons characters'... actually, don't.
I still think Jim will... Carry... this film.
