Why do you call yourselves Christian when you are supposed to be like Jesus? You want to be like Jesus? Then why not be a Christ like Jesus was, and not a Christian. If you see yourself as a mere follower, then how can you ever become a Christ?

The goal is to be Christ LIKE not a Christ sport. To claim to be a christ is to claim to be God. therefore a false christ or antichrist. which the bible kinda looks down on.. Plus one would also earn God's wrath pretending to be a Christ. In fact we are warned against false christ's through out the bible.

Messiah means literally "anointed one" and was the common way in which the Jews referred to kings of the dynasty of David. "Anointed" refers of course to the method of investiture of the Jewish kings. It translated into the Greek as "Christos". The Jews regarded themselves as a "theocracy"... a kingdom ruled by God. The Jews also envisaged a (metaphorical) throne room in which there were three thrones. God occupied the central throne. At "the right hand of God" was the throne of the "king messiah" who was the reigning king of the house and family of David. At "the left hand of God" was the throne of the "priest messiah" who was the high priest of the house and family of Zadok. Ideally there were always two messiahs who were known collectively as the "sons of God". All these terms, "messiah", "kingdom of God", "at the right hand of God" and "son of God" were political rather than religious statements. It was a later generation of gentile Christians who re-interpreted these phrases in a very different religious sense. Both before and after the death of Jesus the early Christians, who were, after all, practicing Jews, understood these terms in their traditional sense. Jesus in claiming to be the messiah had not committed any blasphemy... there was no religious crime that the high priest could legitimately charge him with. That is why he went to the Romans to do the job.

To be like someone you envision, is like being an actor.

So? Or do you not understand the simple foundational truth of Christianity? It's not about what we do it's not about our 'acting' but WHY we act.

Your need to be a "christ" rather than an 'actor' is of the same hubris that Got lucifer Thrown out of Heaven and damned to Hell for eternity.

Looking at your action's alone will not prevent you from repeating bad behaviour. You need to examine your emotional reactions first, then your thought reactions, then you will be able to change your behaviour.

There's only one Christ, there can only be one Christ. The goal of every Christian should be Christ-like character.

This does not correspond in any way to what I said.

I told you that good and or bad is irrelevant in the new economy of Christ. because none of us are 'good'. So then it becomes a matter of not what we do but why. Because in the end their is atonement for all sin. unless your are not just a slave to sin but love sin.

Christos is the Greek word that is used to translated the Hebrew meshiach ("messiah"), both words translate into English as "anointed".

To call Jesus Christ is to call Him the Messiah, the promised King, Lord, and Redeemer. The fulfillment of God's promises in history.

Nobody other than Jesus is the Christ, because it is a title that belongs uniquely to Him. For the same reason that I can't go around calling myself the President of the United States of America or the King of Norway.

So, simply put, I can't become "a christ", nobody can. Because there is only one Christ, and that is Jesus of Nazareth, the Child of Mary, the Eternal and Only-begotten Son of God made flesh.

But I can be a Christian, a disciple of the One who is the Christ.

You might want to drop those belief's that are preventing you from understanding what I'm saying, then it should make sense.

Oh please.

This "I'm a Real Spiritual Person™ and you're not" shtick is just gross.
