That’s why I say it needs a wall around it.

And that is why Trump is building the wall around America, because America is Trump’s country, bought and paid for in full.

Today should be an interesting day -- Donald is attending the Veterans Day Parade in NYC.

On the one hand, Donald has no love for NYC, and the feeling is mutual... On the other, it would be highly inappropriate on Veterans Day to give him the expected reception. On the other other hand... this is New York.

Is Donald pushing his luck?

When host Rick Burgess asked what his motivation for slashing the balloon, Hutchinson replied:

“I’m not young but I’m not old. I’m sort of middle aged. I feel like a lot of people my age don’t keep up with the news and politics the way they should. I watch the news every night. I watch Fox News every night. Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are my favorite two anchors.

"I see this stuff going on out west and up north and all other places. I get so mad about people not taking a stand. The left wants to use religion against you like you shouldn’t act like this and stuff but I’ll tell you this - the Devil knows the Bible as good as we do.”

“This was your turning of the temple tables?” Burgess asked in reference to the Biblical story of Jesus turning over the tables of the money changers in the temple.

“Yes,” Hutchinson replied. “It comes a point when you gotta take a stand. We don’t have two parties anymore. We have good vs. evil. When you got one party that says it’s OK to kill babies and by the way, this is the first time I’m ever seen a liberal get mad about chopping up a baby.”

On a more serious note, I only had a chance to see a very little bit of his remarks... I literally heard only one person clapping when he was introduced.

Need more evidence that US campuses actively silence conservatives? Then take a look at a stunning new report by the higher-ed watchdog Campus Reform.

The report notes that at SUNY-Albany last year, 64 speakers identified as liberal were handed the podium, vs. just two conservatives.

Fair and balanced out there I guess?
M-Bob

Yes, actually I do need more evidence. Campus Reform isn't a watchdog; they're a dishonest right-wing hysteria mill. They claim that the balance of speakers is left heavy, but nowhere do they bother to name those speakers or describe their standard for classifying someone's political leanings.

Having grown up in upstate NY and having attended a SUNY school, the thought of SUNY Albany being some sort of bastion of liberalism strikes me as more than a little absurd. Albany is small and outside of the city limits, it's mostly rural and agricultural. SUNY Albany garners students from across the state, most of which Trump won (going by # of counties or just raw geographical area).

If conservatives want to be invited to speak on campuses for reasons other than just drumming up controversy a la Milo, don Jr, and TPUSA, then maybe conservatives should start training more experts in relevant fields rather than ceding that ground to "liberal elites".

Are you really suggesting that Republicans respect expertise, knowledge and science? Then they might need to consider the truth and facts when speaking or developing policies.

This is the 21st Century this a new Republican Party.

This isn't the party of Reagan, the Bush's, Dole, McCain and Romney.

There are a few holdouts, mostly among the never-Trumpers.

But yeah, you can't repeat a bunch of paranoid conspiratorial Hannity-esque nonsense and expect to be taken seriously anywhere people have to engage their brains for a living.

Liberal professors outnumber conservatives nearly 12 to 1, study finds

Published in Econ Journal Watch last month, the study looks at faculty voter registration at 40 leading universities and finds that, out of 7,243 professors, Democrats outnumber Republicans 3,623 to 314, or by a ratio of 11 1/2 to 1.

That's better, but if you read the study, you'll see that they couldn't identify party registrations for 45% of the people they looked at and that red states were more likely to not make their voter rolls public.

Seems this could cause a problem?
M-Bob

It certainly is a problem. The Republican party should try harder to attract smart people.
