As someone who watched the Watergate hearings, I guess I will follow them, but I am not going to get up early just to watch the morning session live.

To me it's like watching sports. I'd rather wait and just watch the highlights afterwards. I'm sure if I toggle between CNN and Fox I'll get the gist of it.

Absolutely. I plan on watching PBS for their primetime airing of their live coverage since it isn't feasible to view the hearings in whole during my days.

I'll copy and paste my post from another thread with information on where to watch the hearings:

Broadcast, cable networks to televise impeachment hearings
ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS will set aside scheduled programming next week to cover the House’s first open impeachment hearings on President Trump.

The cable news networks CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and CSPAN will also provide live coverage. The broadcast networks’ announcement Friday that they would televise the hearing, however, gives the event an extra measure of exposure and weight with the public.

They'll all be streaming the coverage across their digital platforms.

CBS was the first to announce detailed plans. They'll pre-empt their regular daytime programming to have their Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell leading their coverage, beginning on Wednesday with the testimony of Bill Taylor and George Kent, and then proceeding on November 15 with the testimony from Marie Yovanovitch. Numerous experienced correspondents will contribute to their coverage. CBS This Morning will also be dedicated to discussing the hearings.

PBS will broadcast the hearings live with analysis from their NewsHours team. They'll also air the hearings in primetime on their digital channel carried by 157 public TV stations. And it will be available across all PBS digital platforms - their website, their PBS video app which runs on smartphones and on Apple, Roku, smart TVs.

Plus! The BBC has said it is going to show Trump's impeachment hearings in full. Their coverage will also be available on their app, website.

I'll watch what I can. But I have a few jobs. I babysit 3 days a week. And no way I will force a 2 and 4 year old , to watch it. Then I'll been helping of my parents the rest of the week. I'll be lucking to watch any of it, with my parents. They don't care either way , about the impeachment. I'll probably get most the info on here.

If anyone wants genuinely balanced and fair coverage of the proceedings they could do a lot worse than the BBC. It’s actually written into their broadcasters license that they have to provide unbiased and fair reporting of political news.

Games are not fun to watch recorded. They are meant to see in live action. So if it is like sports you have to see it live without changing channels.

Of course, this is not like sports at all, so recording it to watch later would not make a difference.

BTW someone posted a link that says Fox will not show the whole hearing.

I’ll catch as much as I can but that reminds me of the O.J. trials and doing home appliance repair many if not most customers had it on and were following it.

That sort of happened at my high school during the verdict announcement. Teachers tuned in and let kids stay in the classroom until it was over. While waiting for seventh period, students in the hall were yelling, "Not guilty! Not guilty!"

...or simply watch it on CSPAN.

I won't watch. I'm tired of all the grandstanding, deceit, lies, hateful rhetoric, and political posturing...to say nothing of the seeming complete lack of integrity and statesmanship of our political leaders. I won't even watch the news anymore. I'd rather poke a sharp stick in my eye.

How biased can a livestream without commentary be?

It is not about the live stream (which most networks will show), but the reporting and analysis afterward. If C-SPAN was biased to the right, you can bet I would watch not watch it on that channel!

Luckily, C-SPAN is the least biased, followed closely by PBS. If you want the liberal analysis, watch MSNBC after the hearing.
