“Jim Jordan has been on the front lines in the fight for fairness and truth. His addition will ensure more accountability and transparency in this sham process," House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy said in a statement on Friday.

Under current terms, Jordan, as the top Republican on the Oversight Committee, has been in the room for most closed-door depositions. Because he is not a member of the Intelligence Committee, though, the Ohio Republican cannot ask questions.

"In Speaker Pelosi’s House, those responsibilities have fallen victim to partisan witch hunts," McCarthy said. "The typically venerable Intelligence Committee has now become the partisan Impeachment Committee."

Jim Jordan's complaint is nonsense. The only way it can be a sham is if Democrats knew the proof doesn't exist - which is impossible because they know it does.

Yes, Democrats just "know".

For nearly three years now, Adam Schiff has been declaring that he has PROOF of Trump malfeasance. Schiff appeared regularly on any broadcast TV outlet which would air his comments. Yet, now, three years later what has he produced other than noise? ZIP, ZERO, NADA ... No evidence of Trump malfeasance.

Not only have Democrats not found an impeachable crime, they haven't found any crime.

Any crime is impeachable FYI. And they absolutely have found more than one.

Not only do Democrats know, but so do Republicans. This is what they found, not what the media says. You only single out Democrats ot pretend Trump is perfect.

Incorrect.

Parking violations would be nonsense. Campaign finance violations similarly, as many previous administrations have had finance violations.

It's why the constitution specifies "high crimes and misdemeanors".

I'll say again, just to be clear, if Democrats want to regain the White House ... all they need to do is field a better candidate than Donald Trump. Does that seem too difficult?

Actually, the closed-door testimony of many of Donald's employees has already been released.

For some reason, posts defending Donald don't seem overly anxious to quote from said testimony. I wonder why.

With the shift to the far left the party candidates have taken the answer to your question is "YES", it is too difficult. More and more folks are coming/speaking out against the "freebies and tax them until they leave" mantra of those candidates. When they kicked the white working class to the curb that is what got Trump elected and for some reason they refuse to blame themselves (Denial of Reality) for this happening. So their plan is to take it out on Trump and those who voted for him, I think vindictive is the word to describe their actions.

They did in 2016 which is why Trump DIDN'T win the majority of American votes.

Maybe you're forgetting this one thing. To field a better candidate that means that has to be one who has broad support across the nation as a whole. That they did not do.

After having seen how Jordan protected a college coach accused of sexual misconduct, it seems obvious that the Senate minority leader thought he would be a good choice to protect Trump no matter what truths were exposed.

I suspect that those that are determined to see something will see it whether it exists or not. And those that are determined to see nothing will not see that. My glasses are not tinted in order to attempt to see things just as they are. Hopefully that will also be true of my perceptions of reality so I can judge what is true and false on merit alone and not through a political POV filter that requires me to start with my conclusion and find reasons to believe it. Self deception is the hardest to overcome.

Grasping, progressives are not duped by the liberal media in their opposition of Trump.

Trump gives us all the evidence we need himself. All you have to do is listen to his speeches and read his tweets, examine the characters of the cabinet he has assembled, and look at the content of the executive orders he has signed--leaving the Paris Climate Accord for example.

All the rest is superfluous. I challenge anyone to really listen to his speeches and read his tweets without writing their representatives telling them to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him for gross incompetence.

The President is not elected by popular vote. Hills was a horrible campaigner with more baggage than Delta Airlines.
