Why do you call yourselves Christian when you are supposed to be like Jesus? You want to be like Jesus? Then why not be a Christ like Jesus was, and not a Christian. If you see yourself as a mere follower, then how can you ever become a Christ?

You declare yourself to be a "seeker," not a born-again Christian.
  1. What possible standard can you develop for Christians to align themselves to?*
  2. And how can you know what realistic expectations to to have, when Christianity is only a theory to you?
Jesus said,

And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Matthew 7:3-5 NKJV

and,

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot [even] see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3 NKJV

*We don't even know (or agree) on the particulars of what we should look like, yet.

"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but [when we meet Jesus, it will be] face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Corinthians 13:12 NKJV

Christians are those who realise that they are sinners in need of forgiveness. If we could be like Christ, we would not need to be forgiven. Non-believers rarely have any real idea of what a Christian is meant to be. Do you know what a "Christ" is? I'll tell you. A Christ is a Messiah, appointed by God to make God known to man. There has been only one Christ. To be a Christ-ian means to be of Christ, as an Australia-n is of Australia. Christians are not just blind followers of a Jewish guru from Zero AD. Jesus changed the world forever. Christians have Christ living inside them, leading, guiding, directing, teaching, healing, delivering and empowering us to be the kind of people that God wants us to be. We are not perfect. One of the early leaders said that we have God's treasure (Jesus) in jars of clay.

Have you ever met a real Christian? You will know that they are different even if you do not know why. If you are serious about knowing the truth, ask God to show you. He will. God is far more willing to to reveal Himself than people are willing to look.

Just because truth can be known, that doesn't mean that seeking will cease. For there are many more things we must learn, even after we gain that core truth. Do not Christians seek their Lord for many things they still do not understand? Why do Christians still ask questions if knowing the truth is all they need to know?

Yes Jesus did change the world, that is obvious. But did he change it for the better or worse?

In my entire life the most "Christ-like" person I have ever met was a Hindu.
This person died for our sins?

On another note, how was this person "Christ-like"?

And where is this person now?

Do you know why you believe what you believe brinny?
Perhaps the question is:

What do you believe?
