In Gloucester we have double Gloucester cheese. So good with Ryvita. What produce do you enjoy from your locality?

I can't eat cheese at all without feeling horribly sick!My husband enjoys Wenslydale cheese,
I love Cornish Brie I can cut it off in chunks and not bother with the crackers
I love tomatoes - especially cooked! I've never tried tomato pie though. I had a neighbour who used to do a lot of cooking and she brought me up a potato pie! It was cooked mashed potato enclosed in a pastry - very bizarre but it tasted good.We picked up a #20 lb. Box from the tomato farm . Made vegetable soup yesterday. It was delicious. The tomatoes from the grocery dont have any taste in comparison. Have you eaten tomato pie? It didnt sound appetizing but so glad we tasted one at a luncheon recently. Having BLTs or tomato gravy with biscuits today. Y'all grab your hat and come over.
Sounds good to meOk 1 vote for tomato gravy ? With biscuits? We won't count carbs today.
....aaah, Devonshire cream teas yum yum!Having grown up in Devon, I absolutely love their local delicacies.
Devonshire Cream Tea: A plain scone with lashings of local clotted cream, strawberry jam, and the obligatory pot of tea.
Clotted Cream Ice Cream - all kinds of different flavours, but vanilla was always my favourite.
Devonshire Pasty - just like the Cornish pasty but with a different name. Chunks of meat, potato, swede, with added pepper and enclosed in a pastry.
Apparently you can't call it a Cornish pasty unless it is handmade in Cornwall.
Devon is a fantastic place to get atheroscelorosis - mild winters, warm summers and plenty of sandy beaches.
