Ah thanks. So what are the key differences between the character of the wilderness and the desert?
Key difference is dryer and more desolate of living humans I could minister to. Similar to the valley of "the dry bones" in Ezekial. Where do demons, who have been cast out, go? To "the waterless places." Demons are disembodied evil spirits that want to manifest their 'particular' nature into this visible world and we are their preferred hosts. But obviously a "herd of pigs" will do also. Long as they can fulfill Satan's ultimate job description of "rob, kill and destroy".
Revelation refers to the book of life, the tree of life, the water of life, the lake of fire and so on. None of those items are literal of course, but I'm willing to accept they are perfect metaphors, even if I may not fully understand them.
I'd have to agree. :)

Thanks for that, looks excellent, for some reason I can't reply to your PM. I've just read a couple of entries, it's certainly better than the usual carnal rubbish. Will continue to look through.
I sent another one. It says 2 participants are on it. Don't know what the problem is.

Sorry so slow on the response. I picked up the regional director of SOZO ministry yesterday and he's spending 3 days at our house ministering to the church. It's been a logistical time grabber for several days prior to arrival.

Brother, I got your send PM, but it's still not giving me a reply option, so I'll try starting one up with you.

Thanks, makes sense that the demons head to the desert because there's no life out there. I heard a good message on the 'herd of swine' incident suggesting that 'pigs' was a metaphor used to refer to Roman soldiers back then (sounds plausible). And so Jesus sends out the demons into imperialist Rome, who then cast themselves into the water to be saved. So it was really a prophecy about the future of Rome and the world more generally coming to Christ.

No problem, I'm a bit delayed in replying too, so there's no need for a intense flurry of exchanges!

As a man who believes Jesus forgives all, Him taking it out like that 'even on the Romans' doesn't sit peacefully with me. He forgave the guys who crucified Him. I have to admit never heard that teaching before either.

"The vast majority of men have not so much as heard of Christ. In Christian countries very many die in infancy: some are lunatic, or half witted; many wholly uneducated; very many grow up in virtual heathenism, from no fault of their own; or are born in a state where evil surroundings aggravate evil tendencies, inherited and innate. Are they - these untold myriads of myriads of hapless creatures - first to hear of Christ at the day of judgment?" - Thomas Allin

Christ Triumphant by Thomas Allin chapter three

Dear Thomas: The vast majority of mankind have never heard of the Lord Jesus Christ, of those who have heard, His words of life are not understood until by His awakening ones ears and eyes are opened.

Today, and every day, over 15,000 children die under the age of five worldwide. What does the One who sees every common bird fall do? And what of us common folk through "no fault of their own" are made subject to being made sinners in Adam. Well, Thomas, this is what the Lord of all mankind, and the all declares He will do!

The WHOLE of created life SHALL BE delivered from the tyranny of change and decay

I recently met a Chinese lady who told me when she was a little girl in her village she almost died of an illness, and experienced her soul being lifted out of her body by fairies. They took her up towards heaven, and she looked back down on her village. They asked her if she wanted to go back, and she replied yes.

Her background is Buddhist. I told her she made the right choice because God would certainly not accept a filthy little pagan heathen into Heaven, and she would now be burning in Hades, awaiting final judgment to burn forever in an even bigger hotter fire forever and ever without reprieve.

Now imagine if I'd said that to her, or even considered it as a realistic possibility for the one true living God.

....chapter three
I can't tell if you believe the heresy linen promotes in every post or not. He denies it is heresy of course, but isn't that always the case with heresy, until someone is set free from it ?

I believe God Says Clearly NOT to "imagine" such wickedness, not to even give one thought to heresy or false gospel of false teaching like is exposed in this thread.
Think instead on those things pure and true and holy, from the one true living God. (which I believe positively is what you think also - the 'example' is awkward due to the topic here in this thread , and the rules we all are under here on the internet. In the assembly of Anabaptists whenever we meet, such topics are not even permitted to be spoken about, and those who believe heresy are not permitted to speak, unless with a question seeking the truth, and not to further deceive anyone and not to further promote their heresy nor false gospel such as universal stuff promoted by ?? whoever .....

So where would that little Chinese girl have gone in your theology had she died, Jeff?

Okay, it was in another tab I had open (saw the little girl referred to).
I forgot though to "see" your question....
I don't have "theology", thank you. So there is no "your theology" or "my theology" for me.

Well maybe leave of bashing other people's theology then tiger. Or otherwise produce ecumenical evidence to support your groundless accusations that universalism is heresy. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Christianity has recognized universalism as heresy for thousands of years.
Christians on this site and forum have recognized it as heresy for a decade or longer.
That's why, as far as I know, it is restricted to controversial, and linen knows that(why he posts in controversial when he is not being covert about it) also, I think ...

ecumenical evidence
That is a contradiction, worthy of supporting heresy.
"Ecumenical" search online reveals enough to know.... so ecumenical evidence is like quicksand, not to be built upon.... it is the opposite and opposed to SOLID ROCK/ FAITH IN JESUS/ GOD'S WORD.

Don't overstate your case, for Universalism has been classed as a heresy by damnationists for only about 1500 years, not "thousands." You keep calling us heretics, as if it is obvious. It is not. I myself, am an ex-Damnationist, and I do not consider myself to be a heretic, knowing that the early Christians were Universalists before the term was invented. Can you get your head around this?: I have examined every verse of the Bible, and a KJV Bible at that, and what I found only confirmed me in Universalism. I can answer ANY Scripture you want to bear on the subject.

Oh? Then why did God not warn them of the danger of Hell?
RATHER, if it is pertinent today, for those who care,
why do you or others today ignore staying on or teaching others to stay on the wide path that leads to destruction. i.e. what you or others mean by "hell".. ?

"Destruction" pertains to the here-and-now world we live in. Nice try at redirecting, btw, but please tell me why God failed to warn Adam, Eve, Cain and a host of other people about the risk of Hell? The Law He gave to Moses makes no such threat, so where do we look for it?
