General situation explained in Parents are Advising Me to Get Out of Relationship. Tonight, I decided to follow my convictions and the majority of godly advice I've been given, and I let her go. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. It brought me to tears preparing for it.
But now I can only hope and pray that this was the best choice for both of us. She is heartbroken, and I am sad and frankly terrified at the decision, wondering if I made the right one. Please pray for both of us, and that both of us will run to God during this hard time. Especially her, since she is still so young in her faith and she looked to me as one of her main Christian mentors (I am certain we will always be close friends at the very least, but I know now we need time to let go and let God).
