I'm thinking about this new thread right now and hope everyone will like it. We always have something on our minds, and it just might be interesting to others.

I've tried to stop thinking so much about Donald Trump. I'd rather spend this time reading the Bible and thinking about spiritual matters. Right now I'm thinking about the end of this Age of Grace.

Well I'm just about 50 years old so I guess I'll post. I'm currently working out dimensional physics. It's what I do to pass the time since I'm disabled. It keeps me productive :)

Not Mr Trump, that's for sure.

Everything. I struggle with anxiety and right now am overwhelmed by a lot of little, insignificant things that I need to get done and worrying that I talked too much at Bible study last night. This is how my brain works often. It woke me up just after 2 this morning. I praise Him and pray then it gets better, fortunately. :)

I finished my baby shower planning today. I also organised my annual trip to Europe to visit the Christmas markets and a Christmas party. Life is pretty busy around here! But I love it.

I must admit that I don't know what dimensional physics is.

Right now I cannot stop thinking of ice cream. So in a bit I am going to my local ice cream shop with a friend.

You made me think of chocolate covered ice-cream bars.

I'm thinking about the Christian spiritual warfare.

Ephesians 6:11-20 KJV Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

The world situations are bound to get our notice I suppose. Here our politics seem to change daily and I've got to the point of seeing the funny side of it. Now we're going to have an election in December! A very unfunny side though is that some of our MPs, especially women, have been getting death threats. That's terrible - what is happening to the world!

However we know that all these troubles are temporal. I heard a sermon by Delbert Young of Lifegate Church in Lafayette in which he said (if I understood it correctly) that when Jesus took the wine described in Luke 22 v 17,18 He was sharing the last significant Passover (and Himself the Passover Lamb) with His disciples which ended the Mosaic age. Then in v 19 onwards He instituted the New Covenant and ushered in the age of Grace. I'd never seen the significance of the two different cups before, and how one age ended and another began at that moment.

You said that you were thinking about the end of this age of Grace. What particularly was on you mind Tom?

BTW good thread! :)

The Rapture is also a part of the end of this Age of Grace. It will be a time of great joy for Christians.

An ad for Shriner's Hospital for Children reminded me to pray for sick and injured children. I'm going to talk with my wife about what we might be able to afford in supporting them.

That's great for Christians, but I get really distressed at the thought of all those who will not be there. I keep praying for people but I think that it is only the Lord who can change their hearts.

I pray that the Holy Spirit of God softens their hearts for the hearing of the Gospel Message. Faith still comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Crowns as Rewards for Christians:

Read them in context and do a Bible Study to see what each one means.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 KJV 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

1 Thessalonians 2:19 KJV 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

2 Timothy 4:8 KJV Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

1 Peter 5:4 KJV And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Revelation 2:10 KJV Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
