The title of the thread is not "What I'd like Christianity to be." What I'd like Christianity to be is irrelevant, isn't it? Why are you under the impression that I'm obligated to outline some new vision of Christianity for you? Wouldn't that be preposterously presumptuous of me?
But the gist of your OP is ... Christianity isn't what it ought to be.

Aren't you obligated ... if you're a true teacher of God ... to give some hint of what Christianity should be ?

I think Jesus' vision of human and societal transformation is pretty clearly set forth in the NT
Did Jesus have a vision of societal transformation ?

John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now, My kingdom is not of this realm.”

In our country the institutional church is shrinking.

No I do not hear of general conversion growth happening across the board.

Back in the 80's they surveyed the conversion growth of Baptist churches in Auckland and compared it with combined annual budgets. It worked out at about $1M per convert.
I think you are only considering "overall increase in size" as growth.

The kingdom grows every time a sinner converts. The numbers may shrink because saints are also exiting this world (but never God's kingdom).

P.S. We see converts for much less a sum than $1 million. My church's annual budget is only around $150,000/year ...

So ... you're busy making distinctions between the wheat and the tares, ... despite Jesus' command ?

But wait, He never forbade making the distinction. He only forbade uprooting them. In fact we are instructed to be shrewd as serpents but innocent as doves bc He IS sending us out as sheep among wolves, i.e. wheat among tares, etc. and we are instructed to NOT throw our pearls to swine, which would require some form of discernment... which reminds me, what are we supposed to do with the tares? I mean, sure, love them, pray for them, but what if they’re tearing up your church?

Once again, ... why don't you enlighten us regarding what you expect to be seeing ... ?

Seriously
complaining to the devil for the behavior of his children
is a waste of your time.

In fact in time it will just get worse.

I AM NOT A CHILD OF THE DEVIL. I BELONG TO JESUS CHRIST, SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

I don't think that Paul would sanction letting tares tear up the church. We are to turn away from such as these ...

2 Timothy 3

1 But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good, 4 traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!

I can guarantee you one thing: Those who take the greatest umbrage at my original post, who question my motives and even my Christianity and come back at me like I'm some tool of Satan? Yeah, they are neck-deep in "Christianity" - take it to the bank.
Why should we believe you ? It's like the pot calling kettle black ...
