Your question was nonsensical, but I would point out that potted plants don't order their minions to ignore Congressional subpoenas.

In that limited regard, then yes, Donald should act like a potted plant... with the extra bonus that no potted plant in history has ever thrown a tantrum on Twitter.

What has that to do with power of subpoena? Hearings and subpoenas happen before articles of impeachment are filed, and McGrain v. Daugherty has already established that either House of Congress has full subpoena power "to compel a private individual to appear before it or one of its committees and give testimony needed to enable it efficiently to exercise a legislative function belonging to it under the Constitution".

The point is that Donald's defenders can no longer hide behind the "no formal vote was ever made" canard, so it's time to backpedal.

Old lawyer's tactic: When the defendant is indefensible, put the system on trial.
