Maybe he did start with a $1 million loan. Just because he got more later on doesn't mean he wasn't successful with what he started with. Has he ever stated what the rest was for? It doesn't necessarily mean that he needed it in order to not fail at whatever he was doing.
If all I had was a bunch of unanswered questions to try and salvage the credibility of the guy I was supporting, I'd start to wonder why I was supporting him in the first place. Too bad there's a vocal minority of US voters who lack critical analysis skills like that.

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE TRANSCRIPT THAT WARRANTS IMPEACHMENT! THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT BE IMPEACHED!

Gosh, you seem to have a lot of anger inside.

So here is yet another one of my "mark my words" predictions. I predict that impeachment never passes Congress because there will be a bipartisan vote against it in both the house and the Senate. If I am wrong, I will make one last post in the politics section of to concede my being wrong and never post here again.

Your prediction is that the senate will vote against impeachment? That's hardly revelatory, its basically what everyone already thinks will happen.

Nobody thinks that will happen except those who have still not figured out the HOUSE votes on articles of impeachment.

I'm talking (and I assume he is too) about the senate then voting against him in the actual impeachment trial. Sorry, I know we sometimes don't use the terminology accurately.

Yeah, he was earning that $50 K a year at age 2. A real prodigy.

The lengths his supporters go to excuse his blatant lies continues to fascinate me.

The House of Representatives votes for or against impeachment.

The Senate votes for or against convicting an already-impeached President.

High school students learn this.

Yes I know. Even some of us terrible Europeans know it too.

Absolutely! Because anyone who is actually looking at the facts can see that the House Democrats never intended to actually impeach the president 1 year before election. Since day one it has always about trying to do one phoney investigation after another to try to drive Trumps poll numbers down. This is because the Democrats know they cannot beat trump with the wet noodle candidates they currently have. As I have said before, Democrats only care about democracy when it favors them. Heaven forbid they actually let the "deplorables" of this country vote for who they want.

What do polling numbers have to do with people voting for who they want?

If pointing out the lies of the anti-Trump crowd proves your point, then it might be best to rest on a different point.
How many times do you think Trump has lied?

Err no. The Democrats will impeach Trump, and then the Senate Republicans will likely acquit him. The odds on him not being impeached are vanishingly small.

Where did you get this silly idea from? A Democrat did beat Trump in the November 2016 election. It was only because of our stupid electoral college system that he is in the White House. More voters wanted the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, to be President. That is a fact.

Since Day 1 everyone has known Trump interfered with the election process by soliciting help from Russia and getting it.

Again...trump will not be impeached because, despite what you may have been told, there is nothing Democrats can use to impeach Trump. They have nothing and they know it. Again, this has never been about impeachment. Trump will continue his term and will likely win reelection. After the post election meltdown 2.0, I hope people come back to this and realize they have been living in a world of wishful thinking rather than in reality.

Under the Constitution, the House can impeach Trump for anything whatever they can get a majority of Representatives to agree on. They could impeach him because they don't like his haircut if they wanted. Whether they will impeach him is, of course, another question.

I think it's almost a certainty that the house will impeach him, especially given Sondland's amended testimony (paraphrase: "Now that I think about it, I do remember telling Ukraine that aid would be contingent on them announcing an investigation into Biden/Biden's Son/Bursima").

Whether the Senate will convict is a totally different question.

Given that last you heard it was 37%, I can't believe you're trying to quibble over less than 2%.

I never said it was 37%.
But either way, it's not the "overwhelming majority of Americans" we keep hearing about from the MSM.

I think you are a little bit behind the times. "Russian collusion" was the Democrat battle cry last year. Then it was obstruction. Then it was tax returns and a few other things that came and went. Now it is quid pro quo but that is quickly fading off because Democrats are realizing that they have nothing to work with. But I digress. The point is that your statement "every one has known Trump interfered with the election" only proves how small your bubble is and how much you are really disconnected with the vast majority of Americans.

Credibility doesn't need to be "salvaged" when the only thing that has supposedly made any impact on his credibility is a bunch of unfounded accusations that have a funny way of evolving each time they're made.
