I don't have one - don't watch Christian TV and some of it is questionable. I do like Podcasts and youtube videos, though. Don't have a #1 favorite of those but there are many.

Probably Joyce Meyer. Although I don't agree with her on many theological points, she does connect with average listeners, which is what I think such a person (TV preacher) needs to do above all. If the question meant to ask about TV preachers overall, living or dead, it would have to be Billy Graham. Yes, I know that both Meyer and Graham preached mainly to in-person audiences, but because those rallies were then telecast or broadcast, I'm including them.

Jimmy Swaggart. I don't agree with some of his doctrinal points, but he recovered from serious error, put aside the trappings of the world, and re-engaged a dedicated Christian audience in Metairie. I have always enjoyed his hymning gospel music.

Who are your favorite TV preachers and why?

I would nominate Father Anthony Messeh. He isn't a TV preacher in the literal sense, but is in on Youtube. He has a lot of sermons that are a good mix of practical, interesting, and informative. Below is his sermon entitled "Finding the Strength to go ON" which describes how Christians can continue on when facing the hardest circumstances of life.

I think it would be relevant to expand the question to include preachers who have a general media presence, be it TV or otherwise. Conventional network TV, along with the cable or dish packages that deliver the network TV, is becoming a thing of the past. Many people don't "watch TV" any more, even if they are watching shows or movies on their TV screen.

Some preachers have a strong YouTube audience or some other form of streaming service with a following. They might not have been considered "TV preachers" 10-15 years ago due to that particular medium, but they are now functionally what TV preachers were for decades.

If that were done, however, the question would become little more than "Who is your favorite preacher?" That wouldn't be particularly interesting since most of the nominees would be people known only to the poster making the nomination.

Look, for instance, at the posts that we already read which nominated somebody or other although they are NOT TV preachers and, therefore, are NOT part of this survey.

That's fine. However, in that case the question isn't asking much and is mostly only asking the very oldest of the members on this forum.
I don't follow that. The idea of asking about TV preachers is worth asking, and everyone owns a TV set. If some people don't watch the show in question, that doesn't make the question useless.

On the other hand, a thread that asks for suggestions about good preachers that readers might check into on some blog site or You Tube video isn't pointless--but it is quite a different topic.

Everyone doesn't own a TV set in the way you're describing. People have TVs and they have phones, but we don't have network TV and landlines any more, or at least very few of us still do. People aren't wasting their money have just to have one or two interesting channels, when they can spend a fraction of that money to watch what they want when they want it. Unless they buy a TBN app (I don't know if that exists), they aren't going to encounter any "TV preachers". That is simply not the world we live in.

I am not trying to argue with you, sir, but I think that my suggestion is far more relevant than you might realize.
