4 days for Halloween and there is not a thread criticizing Halloween? :D

Also my avatar is the X-Men fighting the Marvel Zombies.

I don't think that I saw this particular video yet.... but I saw some of his other ones on this topic... and this guy is interesting!

Naw, I think people have perhaps realized that Halloween will happen whether they themselves like it or not.

Or maybe they aredirectingbtheir hatred into politics. Seems to be too much of that going around.
Either way Happy Halloween everyone. We are planning a scary one. BOO!

I love Halloween! My family and I like to celebrate it. We don't listen to the Christians who like to argue against this holiday just as we don't listen to the Christians who argue against Christmas.

Ironically, the majority of the people who argue against Halloween and its pagan origins celebrate Christmas and Easter, despite the Christianized pagan rituals and origins of these two holidays.

In the SPIRIT (pun intended) of Halloween...

Not everyone is American or English. I don't even think about it nor have to worry about things like trick'o'treaters because there are none here. I will most likely forget all about it even on the day its on.
Someone asked my daughter if she was celebrating Thanksgiving?? Do Americans not even know that is their own holiday? Plus it's not harvest season here, it's Spring.

I love Halloween

The celebration of Halloween in my house consists of baking Halloween cookies and cakes, watching Hocus Pocus and/or Van Helsing, and eating Halloween candy. My two youngest daughters (ages 12 and 13 1/2) don't like to Trick or Treat anymore, so we just stay home on Halloween night and watch our favorite spooky movies while we stuff ourselves with lots of Halloween candy and cookies.

I thought Thanksgiving was only an American thing, but I have a friend in Canada who informed me they have a Thanksgiving too on a different date. Every year she keeps reminding me that I didn't wish you her a Happy Thanksgiving, so I have to keep reminding her that her Thanksgiving is nowhere close to our date so I keep forgetting.

And yes, as to the thread, I love Halloween too. :)

I love Halloween, but today is November 9 and we are STILL in the process of putting Halloween things away. We have more Halloween decorations and items than most people have Christmas things. And I do not even want to talk about the cost of that Halloween night trick or treat thing here. If you take into account the time, the haunted house, the teal pumpkin prizes, the adult trick or treat station and the argument we got into over whether the door to the haunted house should be on the side or the center......LOL
BUT still it was worth it. The hundreds of trick or treaters and their parents, the thank yous , the compliments, the screams.....We will do it again next year. Slightly differently of course.
