Many opponents of Donald Trump judge him for his imperfections. They rebuke him for unproven allegations of adultery, claim he is a corrupt liar, or castigate him for wanting to secure our borders with a wall. Romans 5:6 says that Christ died for the ungodly. Which is to say, Christ didn’t come to redeem the righteous; he came to redeem the unrighteous. Everyone is in need of the redemptive power of Jesus: you, me, Trump, and indeed all of us. Therefore, the question must be raised: Why is it fair for anyone to judge our great president because of his imperfections? Aren't we all sinners?

Many people judged and rebuked the Rosenbergs as well. I think it has something to do with committing treason.

If you believe Trump committed treason, explain your assertion. Wanting to make America great again doesn’t constitute a betrayal of the United States.

Going to America's enemies and trading political favors from them in order to illegally hack elections is very much treason.

Also, sexual assault in any other line of work is grounds for immediate termination. But then he becomes this "great, wonderful" President and..."why are we so judgmental??". Innocent face. Even Monica Lewinsky, at least she was consenting.

Republican is your religion. Just like all the George W fannery--he flat out lies about WMD, resulting in 100,000 deaths of Iraqis. But oh, he is anti-abortion! Abortion is murder!

Could you define what you mean by "judging"?

Surely you don't mean that we shouldn't criticize anyone and make qualitative statements about his suitability to fill certain roles?

I think most of the criticism of Trump comes because his policies are perceived to be bad for the country, or more accurately, bad for the progressive narrative, not because of any purported personal failings. The personal failings can be found in spades in liberal leaders, yet there seems to be little problem with supporting them. It's the policies that make the difference.

I say Trump's policies are "perceived to be bad..." because many have been fed untruths about them by the Democrat Party's mainstream media arm. With a more honest media, the game would be markedly different.

Nope. It's because of his personal failings. A corrupt person does not belong in office; simple as that.

The only reason people might focus on his policies is because Republicans will come back and say, "Oh, I don't care about his personal life, just so long as the economy runs well"...in other words all the same stuff Democrats said back when Republicans impeached and tried to convict Clinton.

Many opponents of Donald Trump judge him for his imperfections.

As the president of the United States, Donald is an elected representative of We The People. We The People have not only the right, but the obligation to call him out if we are unhappy with his performance.

And many of us are.

They rebuke him for unproven allegations of adultery,

Unproven? Perhaps you should ask his first two wives... or his current one... or the two women (Stormy Daniels and Karen MacDougal) who were paid -- and bear in mind, these are the two we know of -- to keep quiet about his adultery.

"Unproven" indeed.

claim he is a corrupt liar,

His corruption and his lies are both matters of public record. You have nobody to blame but yourself if you don't know this.

or castigate him for wanting to secure our borders with a wall.

A wall will do nothing to protect our borders from what threatens them.

Romans 5:6 says that Christ died for the ungodly. Which is to say, Christ didn’t come to redeem the righteous; he came to redeem the unrighteous. Everyone is in need of the redemptive power of Jesus: you, me, Trump, and indeed all of us.

And Romans 10:13 says that those who call on Christ will be saved. Which is to say, you have to ask for God's forgiveness in order to receive it.

Has Donald ever humbled himself in repentance before Christ?
Has Donald ever humbled himself in repentance before anybody?
Has Donald ever humbled himself?
Has Donald ever shown an iota of repentance... for anything... ever?

Therefore, the question must be raised: Why is it fair for anyone to judge our great president because of his imperfections? Aren't we all sinners?

While we're at it, let's open up the prisons and close down the courts...

His policies are bad . Reopening coal mines when there’s no market for the coal. Denying science based realities only because he doesn’t understand science and absolutely refusing to listen to people who do! You think that this is a smart thing to do? How does Removing air and water pollution controls make America great? People used to get sick or die from the dirty air and water . How does damaging or destroying our National Parks make America great? How does the really ugly way he treats women and/ or racial and religious minorities make America great?

...and it turned out that those who "rebuked" the Rosenbergs were right. So, no comparison to the current rebuking that is nothing more than sour grapes over having lost the 2016 election.

the most the Rosenbergs should have gotten was jail time. Their punishment was way too harsh for the things they did .

The American President is being judged on his performance as President, not on his relationship with God.

Please don't confuse the redemptive power of Jesus with anyone's job performance as president. They are NOT the same thing,

For leaking nuclear weapons information out?

If any punishment is off the mark, it's that Trump's punishment--impeachment--is way too LIGHT, in light of treason. But we don't talk about that, for fear of exercising the so-called "free speech" that allegedly exists in the USA.

Oh, we say things like that today, but that wasn't the standard in the time of the Rosenbergs.

Brightmoon;

We don't accept your pre-supposed narratives. So, that's how MAGA.
I’ve got a biology degree. Trump is not only abusing the USA he’s abusing the entire planet. If you’re not a atmosphere scientist who can see the changes to the climate or a biologist who sees the damage to living organisms and local environments , then maybe you need to listen to someone who does understand these things . Trump is basing his ideas on ignorance just like most global warming deniers

You don't need a degree in biology to understand the subject. The only difference between us is you over paid for your knowledge.

I also don't accept your blatant appeals to dubious authorities. Ice Core samples from Greenland show that the climate has been quite stable since the end of the ice age, and this far the projections given by your dubious authorities have been nothing but inaccurate.

Your supposed authorities are nothing political actors, bought and paid for.

Perhaps you should consider the following. Politicians and political leader are not "your team", that you need to root for. Politicans are elected to do a job. You, as a voter, as a citizen, have an influence on who does the job, and by that, how you want the job to be done.

But if the person you (s)elected is incompetent in this job, or their behaviour while doing their job casts a bad light on them and their employers (that is: you), it is also your right and duty to criticise them.

If the plumber you hired to unplug your toilet instead sets the house on fire, you can and should criticise them.
If the plumber does his job, but is dirty, drugged and tries to bugger your underage children, you can and should criticise them.

Get it: these people are not your "better", your "leaders" or, by far, your "rulers". They are your employees... and if they don't follow the rules, or their performance is unsatisfactory... well, there's a famous phrase that especially the Trumpists should know well.

"YOU'RE FIRED!"
