Wow. Nice new levels of post hoc justification. This is a new one. Crack was SO MUCH WORSE on the black community that black people had to start getting harsher sentences ACROSS THE BOARD...even for POT convictions than white people get.

I'm sure there's an alternate universe where this reasoning works out somehow.

so you can’t compare the two unless you can find a drug that had as much of an effect on white people that crack had on blacks.

OF COURSE you don't have any simple solution...or any real solution of any form! Why? Because the Criminal Justice system is still (as most systems) run by white people and has been developed to increase incarceration of black people.

You can keep going on with whatever post hoc justifications you can find or you can possibly just dig up ONE STUDY that proves your point. Apparently you feel that the Black Community DESERVES to be incarcerated at rates far in excess for white people.

The BUREAU OF JUSTICE statistics show that 1 in 17 white men will spend time in prison, but 1 in 3 black men. I would love to hear how you think that is justified. Do you honestly think that black men are 5-6times more dangerous than white men? Really?

Apparently you also think black women are a serious crime threat as well...since the same stats show that 1 out of 111 white women will spend time in prison while 1 out of 18 black women will. Wow...so incredibly dangerous!

Can you explain those numbers? Are black people really that much more dangerous than white people? I have a really hard time believing that, but if you have some data to support that contention that seems to be the only way YOU can explain the data using your hypotheses so far presented.

Crack has nothing to do with Pot. White people with money who commit crimes will afford better lawyers thus get lesser sentences than black people without much money who commit crimes and can’t afford lawyers.

Nobody is trying to justify vehicular manslaughter, this is just your attempt to change the subject. I was just saying the right got the permits to be there; the left showed up to protest; that's reality. Whatever murders took place after that does not change that reality.

I honestly don't know what it means to be "proud of being white". I've been white all my life and honestly I have NO IDEA what that means.

You DO know why phrases like "I'm black and I'm proud" came about, right? (I mean other than because James Brown sang it so well). The reason was because the white people had spent so long telling the black people that they weren't even fully human, and that they didn't even deserve to be accorded even a modicum of respect.

Crack has to do with pot because YOU wanted to make a point about sentencing disparity around crack, but that same disparity occurs with regards to pot which white kids use as much as black kids.

Now you want to move it over to lawyer costs. OK. And you don't see that as a systemic form of racism? That white people can afford "better justice" than black people?

Crack and Pot are for different reasons. White people who got caught with crack received the harsher sentences also, black people with powered cocaine received the lesser sentences.

I asked when was the last time the Klan used violence to prevent freedom of speech and expression, and you brought up Charlottesville as an example. Since that was an example of the Klan getting the permits and Antifa showed up to cause trouble (regardless of the vehicular murder) perhaps Charolettesville was not a good example for you to use huh?

Well technically I guess it would mean they're proud of their melanocytes and melanin the the enzyme tyrosinase which creates color of skin all of which would be crazy to say or make a point of.

The story is told of a child saying to their parent, "Look how high some of the blue balloons, red ones, black ones, and white ones go up into the sky!" The parent replied it's not the color of the balloon that counts but rather what in them. (meaning it's the helium in them and has nothing to do with color)

So what's in a person is the thing that should make them proud or not proud.
