There was a time when pigs were their favourite escape vehicle. So perhaps if ufo's are demon then indeed pigs do fly.

You missed my point. I'm not trying to convince anyone to believe in the ET origins of UFO's
And you missed mine, that there is no substantial reason to believe in flying saucers (not UFOs, thank you, a UFO is ANY flying thing AT ALL that you can't recognize, and the vast majority are airplanes) of any kind. There's no reason to argue about whether flying saucers are ETs or demons if there aren't any flying saucers in the first place

I'm simply pointing out the similarity of arguments between the reality of UFO's and God.
If you want to accept the existence of flying saucers as a matter of faith, be my guest. I will pass.

What's happening here is that people are simply making a choice with very little regard for truth.
The truth is that there's little or no hard empirical evidence for the existence of flying saucers.

That it's enough to decide on what's true or not, or what's good or evil based on insufficient information. The same thing applies to our religious beliefs.
If you want to elevate a belief in flying saucers to the level of religion, I'd tend to agree. But it's a religion I reject.

Yeah, not sure what they were hoping for with that one.
The folks at Avro weren't dunces, and they knew all about ducted fans and ground effect. I'm sure they were trying to figure out if there was a potential for task specific ground effects machine. Can't tell you why they chose a disk-like design, but being engineers, I'm sure they thought there was a good practical reason for it. Just another of history's multitudes of "no workys".

Same thing with our religion.

If you want to accept the existence of flying saucers as a matter of faith, be my guest. I will pass.

You missed my point again. I'm not asking anyone to believe in ET's.

I'm simply interested to know what made anyone to choose to believe something with vague details and not the others.

Is it salvation, the prospect of good life in this world, association with power, etc?

Because to be convinced that ET's are real offers nothing apparently, unless you work in the armed forces (Air Force, Navy, NASA, etc).

But believing in God goes with hefty rewards.

I'm simply being objective here. Maybe there's bias involved.

Creation scientists have an explanation, but usually keep it to themselves like people who have seen UFOs. Now, the US government wants to call them UAP or Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon, instead of UFOs because the latter connotes science fiction and being delusional. We know now that their trained observer pilots have seen and recorded several of them. The cat's out of the bag so to speak.

The Bible states Satan is "the god of the world and the prince of the power of the air." They live in the second heaven, but also come down to the first heaven.

They will remain unidentified and we know they won't be abducting any humans.

abduction can be understood as a temporal possession

So once again, people see a flying thing, can't tell what it is, and some folks think the most obvious explanation is either spacemen who we don't know exist, or demons because, well, reasons. And y'all wonder why you're not generally considered trustworthy observers..,

I understand your point but isn't that what brought about the Flood?
No, the great flood was made by God because people were very violent and wicked in those days. The bible says that God searched men's hearts and saw that their thoughts were wicked and they were very violent and this grieved God at his heart, so he found Noah who was a righteous man back then and he told Noah that he will destroy all flesh. Thus, he told Noah to build the arc and afterwards he sent the rain.
