Could be. hey, maybe you can use that against us, it's as good as this argument.

Are you feeling ok?

I think you may have misunderstood. Any broken rule by dems here can be countered with plenty from the Republicans. There are no angels here, making this a petty argument.

Right... except the Dems haven't broken any rules. Is that the part you're misunderstanding?

CNN Poll:

50% support impeaching Trump and removing him from office - CNNPolitics

Half of Americans say President Donald Trump should be impeached and removed from office, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, a new high in CNN polling on the topic and the first time that support for impeachment and removal has significantly outpaced opposition.

Seems CNN has proven that
they can't be trusted?
Didn't they say Hillary would win?
By a landslide?

They needed a nice juice box, some animal crackers and a blankie for a good snack and a nap?

13 of the Republicans involved in tantrum about a lack of access already have access to hearings.

What are the reasons to keep this inquiry to a small private committee? (not looking for sas, this isn't a rhetorical question, just looking for some reasons to consider)
Because sensitive and/or classified information may be discussed as part of the initial inquiry. Committee members are cleared to know about classified information as it pertains to the activities that their committee oversees, but not all congressmembers (let alone the general public) are cleared to hear all classified information that may be discussed. The committee chairs have said that they will release transcripts of the inquiry sessions once they have been scrubbed of classified data.

Really? It's kind of humorous that anyone from the left would criticize the Republicans for doing the EXACT same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. If the Republicans had done this type of secret hearing with Obama we would have heard no end to "what are they hiding?" and we have a right to know etc etc. Democrats would have been all over it! This thread is hilarious?
Guess what, they have done the same thing. The Dems. are just following the rules that the Reps. passed into law back in 2015. So blame the Reps. who made the rules. Jim Jordon is playing unaware people for fools. Shame on him for his utter lack of respect for the citizens and especially GOP voters. He's counting on them being uninformed.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano said Thursday that Republican complaints about the "secrecy" of closed-door impeachment hearings don't hold water because the process is "consistent with the rules" that a "Republican majority" signed into law.
....
"As frustrating as it may be to have these hearings going on behind closed doors...they are consistent with the rules," Napolitano, who previously served as a New Jersey Superior Court judge, explained during a segment of the Fox News morning show Fox & Friends.

"When were the rules written last?" the legal expert asked. "In January of 2015. And who signed them? John Boehner [the Republican speaker of the House]. And who enacted them? A Republican majority," he asserted. (Emphasis mine)

Fox News judge says House impeachment inquiry "consistent with the rules" that "Republican majority" signed into law

Now that the law is being applied by the Dems. they don't like those rules so much.

Judge Napolitano Schools ‘Fox & Friends’ on Impeachment

Here is an another article with a video of the judge on Fox and Friends.

I posted a thread a days back about Judge Napolitano explaining this all. Naturally with less time than would be possible to have even read the article going along with it folks leapt in to say he was a Trump hater on the far-left. Smh. But if he defends Donald next week, sure he'll be trotted out by the same folks who are claiming he's a hater this week.

Because these secret hearings are unprecedented and likened to a Soviet style secret courts used to destroy political opponent. Not that the Democrats really cared about democracy. The point is that for both Nixon and Clinton, there was a vote for an inquiry. Furthermore, everything was open to the public.

No, the inquiry on Nixon was also behind closed doors.

I don't really care about the secrecy. It's all going to come out eventually. And don't we get a lot of leaks now? It's funny how they gave this super secret meeting and ten minutes after it's over we find out about some stuff. What I think is goofy is in today's political climate people don't realize the Dems do the same thing that the Republicans are doing if the roles were reversed.

I mean, the opening statements are public record. And the only reason for holding the closed meetings is to protect classified information. "Leaking" some of the unclassified bits is hardly an issue.

What I think is goofy is in today's political climate people don't realize the Dems do the same thing that the Republicans are doing if the roles were reversed.
What's really goofy is that the Republicans DID do the same thing that the Democrats are doing now (heck, they wrote a lot of the rules that they're now complaining about in 2015), and the Democrats didn't do the same thing. Oh sure, there was definitely some whining and complaining and gnashing of teeth. But no one stormed a closed hearing.

Are you feeling ok?

Right as rain..why?

Right... except the Dems haven't broken any rules. Is that the part you're misunderstanding?

You are now telling me that's not what this whole thread is about...that the Dems weren't supposed to crash the hearing, and there is no rule against doing so??

Are YOU feeling alright?
