The last dispensation was given by the ministry of angels. How is the new dispensation superior and in what way does Christ prove the old to be infinitely inferior? Thoughts?

The "last" was a ministry of bondage (vs.15), with death as the only result of the efforts of man. God's law was absolute. The "new" states that Jesus paid that price and was resurrected by God. The power of the law which kept man in bondage was gone.

Hi Zao , and this is what I see in Heb 2:5 !!

#1 , Verse 5 takes us back to the ( ANGELS ) of chapter 1 !! But instead of presenting the Messiah as better than angels , which was done in chapter 1 , the angels are seen in a different light !!

#2 , The futureb age of the Millennium is not in subjection to them !!

#3 , Mankind and Jesus were made a little lower than the angels !!

#4 God did not give and aid to angels !

#5 The ( the world to come ) is no agreement as to its meaning , and some believe it refers to the Eternal State , or refers to this present age , and some believe it refers to the MILLENNIUM

#6 I believe it refers to the Millennium and that and that angels will not control the KINGDOM !!

#7 The Greek word SUBJECTION / HUPOTASSO is a military term , meanings , To subject to , put in submission , to arrange under !!

The Messiah will rule with a Rod of Iron , Psa 2:9 !!

That thread is from my old ID, so thank you for picking up the thread. The context was that the last dispensation was given by angels and this dispensation by the spirit.

Hebrews 1:5 talks about today hearing. It reflects on Psalm 8

2:5 Now God did not subject the coming world, about which we are speaking, to angels.
