Does 1 Cor 15:50-58 speak of the rapture or not?

Jesus says that two will be just living their lives, and all of the sudden one will be "taken up" and the other, left behind...

That's what I base my belief in the rapture on, and that Enoch, and Elijah were "taken up" or raptured also...

God Bless!
If the tares are taken then it is the lost who will be taken and the believer will be left.

Are you being serious, or were you making a joke...?

In case you were actually were being serious, harvest is harvest, and both are harvested...

Let them both grow together until the harvest, etc...

God Bless!

Luk 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

The disciples asked where was the one taken---they knew where the one left was--
Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

The taken are where the eagles are---birds of prey, they'll be food for birds.
It is the left that are saved.
It is repeated in Matt:
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

It is the lost that are taken away.

I tend to agree.

The word Matt uses for body/corps is the same used as John the Baptist and the 2 witnesses:

"WHERE THE BODY is, there the EAGLES be gathered" Matt 24 Luke 17-- and Revelation

Matthew 24:28
for wherever the corpse<4430> may be, there shall the eagles/vultures<105> be gathered together.

Mark 6:
24 And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse<4430> and laid it in a tomb.

Revelation 11:
8 And their corpse/s<4430> shall lie in the street of the great City, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their corpse/s<4430> three days and an half, and shall not suffer their corpse/s<4430> to be put in a tomb<3418>
=======================================
Luke uses G4983 which is used 70AD Jerusalem in Revelation 18.............

4983. soma so'-mah from 4982; the body (as a sound whole), used in a very wide application, literally or figuratively:--bodily, body, slave

Luke 17:37
And they answering say to him, 'Where, sir?'
and He saith to them, 'Where the body<4983> is, there will the eagles/vultures<105> be gathered together.'

Which is used in 1 verse of Revelation concerning the destruction of the "Great City/Harlot/Queen"

Revelation 18:13
and cinnamon, and odours, and ointment, and frankincense,
and wine, and oil,
and fine flour, and wheat,
and cattle, and sheep,
and of horses, and of chariots,
and of bodies<4983> and souls of men.

==================
Is Jerusalem 70 ad the great City in Revelation?

Are you trying to say that the "body" that it is referring to in these passages is those on earth, or are still on earth, (at that time, etc) and that is why the ones that are to, or will be "taken away or up" are to remain here on earth...?

Cause that is not what it means at all friend...

And it just doesn't make even remotely any kind of sense at all either...

How can those that are taken up or away be the ones remaining here on earth...?

I actually can't believe you are being serious here really...?

God Bless!

Jesus. And the faithful Christians are the 'woman', who is taken to safety. The Christians who violate the Covenant, Daniel 11:32, are the ones who remain in Jerusalem. Revelation 12:17, Zechariah 14:2
That is a very strange interpretation of Daniel 11:32. Daniel 10 amd 1 refer to the Greeks and the Jews

Revelation 12:17.....those who witness to Jesus. Christians

Greeks and Jews? Who exactly are they today?
Greeks, as used in the Bible, means Gentiles; who are everyone other than Jews.
Jews, today are a mixed people group, who have usurped the name of Israel and who face Judgment for their nearly 2000 year rejection of Jesus.

Daniel 10 and 11 is refering to the defeat of the Persians in the beginning of chapter 10 to the coming of the Romans near the end of Chapter 11.

Well, first off I'm just trying to understand what "you are saying" first off...?

Are you saying that the taken will be food for the birds or will be the wicked ones, cause that's what I think you are saying anyway...?

Cause it seems that, that, is a matter of "personal interpretation", and yours seems a very strange one at that, and I'm just trying to understand it...?

Could you elaborate...?

And he says "wheresoever the body is", which means the body could be the ones taken up and away or could be the ones left (behind) (or left on the earth) depending on where the body is or will or would be...? Which might mean it's in question maybe (that part) (where the body would be, etc)...?

Or that the body of believers could be the ones left (behind) for food for the birds... But, either way, I still think it has to be the ones "left", and not the ones "taken" or taken up and away, that would have to the ones who were (left) to be food for the birds either way...

How is it that you interpret that differently...? That the ones taken (up) are to be food for the birds instead of the ones left, etc...? (and that the ones taken are the wicked ones, etc)...?

I don't see how you get that from that...? (or from any part of the Bible for that matter)...? (no offense)...

God Bless!

The disciples asked "where?"
Luk 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

They can't be asking where the left behind were because they didn't go anywhere, they were left right there. The question is---where did the taken get taken to?
Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
Eagles, vultures, birds of prey--"WHERE THE BODY IS" THAT MEANS DEAD BODIES THAAT THE BIRDS OF PREY ARE EATING---THE TAKEN ARE TAKEN TO THE VULTRUES AND EAGLES, THEY ARE DEAD AND TO BE EATEN.

It is not my interpretation---it is reading the whole passage as it is written, not just a sentence out of context!

Did they mean where this would be, or when, or where this would be happening or taking place maybe...?

But either way, or anyway, just disregard that for a moment...

The taken are not taken to then be? what? taken someplace else? to be food for the birds, etc...?

I guarantee you that Jesus was not saying... that the ones being taken (up) would be the ones who would be the dead bodies left behind to be food for the birds, etc...

You have a very confused reading and interpretation of those passages of scripture...

The ones taken are not taken to be dead bodies or food for the birds, etc...

They are either taken or left behind, and the taken are not the ones left behind (to be food for the birds, etc)...

The taken are not taken because they are dead or are dead bodies to be? What? Then be the left ones that are food for the birds, etc...?

Your very confusing...

I'm trying to understand you, but the more I try to, the more I'm just beginning to think your clearly wrong, etc...?

God Bless!

I am not interpreting anything. I am reading the passage as it is written, without interjecting my own opinion. Just read it as it says. These are the words of Jesus, not my own.
