The thread you started about China and the port of Long Beach was based on a JW piece that, while not perfectly matching @Arcangl86's description, did contain some pretty outlandish claims and falsehoods.
Falsehoods?

Name one.

Perhaps you should go back and re-read the thread. Several of us pointed out several falsehoods in that article. It was trash.

Let's start with "The Obama administration proudly signed the agreement in 2012 giving China control of America’s second-largest container port behind the nearby Port of Los Angeles." First off, the Obama Admin had nothing to do with the deal. Second, at the time the deal was signed OOCL was a private company that happened to be based in Hong Kong.

I would again suggest that you should name one ... if you can.

"The Obama administration proudly signed the agreement in 2012 giving China control of America’s second-largest container port behind the nearby Port of Los Angeles."

The Obama administration didn't sign a deal with a Chinese-owned company.

Again, this was all laid out in that thread:
Trump Rids Major U.S. Container Port of Chinese Communist Control

I know this forum is pretty busy, but that thread was only posted a week ago. Surely you haven't forgotten it already.

Incorrect.

JW correctly noted in the immediately prior sentence (which you omitted):
It all started with a 40-year container terminal lease between the Port of Long Beach in southern California and Hong Kong.

As for your first claim that the Obama administration signed the deal, your claim appears to have merit. More correctly, JW should have stated that the Obama administration did not disprove or object to the deal.

You're average is at 50% now. Correct on one, wrong on the other. You got one wrong. JW got one wrong. Anything else?

That, too, would have been misleading since the merger wasn't proposed until after Obama had left office.

China ship firm to buy HK rival for $6.3bn

No, I didn't get anything wrong. As I pointed out in your other thread, that first sentence not withstanding, the entire paragraph is written in a manner that casts blame on the Obama administration. It closes out with this sentence, "That essentially kills China’s decades-long contract with the Obama administration."

The JW article was dishonest garbage, which was the point of bringing it up in this thread. If you wish to further discuss the details of the port deal, revive that thread.

No, because the lease wasn't between the Port of Long Beach and Hong Kong. It was between the Port of Long Beach and a private company based in Hong Kong, just like I said the first time.

Good grief. Your claim here is just grossly and increasingly wrong.

Judicial Watch provided all the details of the deal by providing a direct link to OOCL, the Hong Kong company running the Port of Long Beach. Nothing was hidden, inaccurate or deceptive in that. The issue wasn't with OOCL. The issue was with mainland China subsequently assuming ownership and control.

That they provided that detail yet still chose to describe it in the manner they did shows how deliberately dishonest the piece was, rather than merely being in error.

Judging by the trivialness of the arguments against Judicial Watch, it appears that Judicial Watch has garnered the ire of the left.

Good job, Judicial Watch.

Which happened after President Obama was no longer in office.

Granted, but the foreign ownership which led to China's control happened in the middle of Obama's presidency. The Obama administration could have red flagged the deal, as Trump did, but chose not to.

It was a private entity at the time. It was only when it became a state owned enterprise that it became an issue.

Seeking information via FOIA on bad actions by the former ambassador is character assassination?

Discussing other other bad actions allegedly done by the former ambassador is character assassination?
Every person who speaks the truth about Trump's bad behavior, eventually ends up getting their credibility and motives questioned through insinuations. This is called killing the messenger. Yes I think this is what is happening to Yovanovitch. But it really doesn't have as much of a public impact, since her credibility is backed up by the arrests of Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

Ah yes, the "trivialness" that is core to the theme of the entire article. Nice job trying to gaslight me and everybody else reading this thread.

Do you think I'm stupid? What you're doing ought to be considered goading.

Judicial Watch Investigates if Ousted Ukraine Ambassador Ordered State Department to Monitor Journalists, Trump Allies

Yovanovitch reportedly ordered monitoring keyed to the following search terms: Biden, Giuliani, Soros and Yovanovitch. Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the State Department and will continue gathering facts from government sources.
..
Yovanovitch reportedly created a list of individuals who were to be monitored via social media and other means. ... Yovanovitch’s staff was informed that the request was illegal and the monitoring either ceased or was concealed via the State Department Global Engagement Center, which has looser restrictions on collecting information
.
This ìs definitely a hit piece. Where are links and news references that this is a real investigation? Never accuse without a credible foundation for us to verify the same.

You know who I feel sorry for? The new ukrainian prime minister. The guy has huge problems with crimea and the donbass, and now he's only a pawn in some silly US election gambit.
Yes, and a desperate pawn at that. He's between a rock and a hard place on whether to support letting Trump blame Ukrain for 2016's election meddling or risk not getting needed aid to fight Russia's advancment into his country. Ukrain have started an investigation into the Bidens, but there's already a closed investigation on record for the same that I'm sure they'll regurgitate as oppose to inventing a story pleasing to Trump, because there's no guarantee Trump will win and the Ukrainian prime minister doesn't want to anger the Democrates.

IF that's true, then she earned the new president's ire prior to his election.
Wow, you really are pushing the insult theory. Perhaps you can provide some context for the same, like a photo of them together or a meeting they attended prior to him taking office.
