Hillary Clinton says Tulsi Gabbard is a 'Russian asset' groomed to ensure Trump reelection

"I'm not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate," Clinton said, referring to Gabbard, without mentioning the Hawaii representative by name.

"She is a favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her ... assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not because she is also a Russian asset."

Gabbard said on the debate stage: ... "Just two days ago, the New York Times put out an article saying that I’m a Russian asset and an Assad apologist."

There doesn't seem to be any love lost on Tulsi's part.

In 2016, Gabbard supported Bernie Sanders over Clinton.

Except neither Hillary or the NYT called Congresswoman Tulsi "a Russian asset" They have been concerned that Russia seems to be supporting her, but the "Russian asset" thing was COngresswoman's characterization of what they were saying.

There would be quite a few, I'm thinking.

The irony is that Tulsi has bought into just about every liberal political position that the rest of the candidates embrace, if perhaps reluctantly. She is in no way a conservative. But that's not good enough for people who have a totalitarian mindset.

Very strong. Remember, it was Tulsi who took down the execrable Kamala, who has been unable to recover. Tulsi has capitulated on some policy positions, though, so I don't know how much fortitude she actually has. Definitely the best of the Dems, but considering her positions I could never vote for her.

Now I know you're a propaganda hawk, because Mrs. Clinton didn't mention Gabbard's name. Gabbard inserted herself as the woman Clinton was referring to, to 1) get herself some media attention, or 2) she's a Russian third party candidate installed to cyphen off votes.

Every commentator on TV, regardless of network, seem to think Hillary's reference could only be to Tulsi Gabbard.

Also, Hillary was following up on an article in a New York newspaper which named Tulsi as the one.

Then too, her reference was clearly about a Democratic candidate for president who can be seen as some sort of a spoiler candidate, so who else could that be?

Do you think Hillary was referring to a different candidate? Do tell.

Hillary said it was a woman. The women on the debate stage were:
Elizabeth Warren
Amy Klobuchar
Kamala Harris
Tulsi Gabbard

Hillary also indicated the person she referred to was likely to mount a 3rd-party candidacy. All three of the others are Democrat party loyalists without independent support. Tulsi on the other hand has independent support.

Again, if you think Hillary referred to one of the other three women, do tell which one.

The news here is more that Hillary is thinking seriously of entering the race.

To that end, she decided to ride a conspiracy theory that might 1) appeal to the party's establishment which already resents Gabbard, and also 2) seem to be a logical step, considering Hillary's connection to the Russia Russia Russia myth that still has some support among rank and file Democrat voters even if the impeachment effort in Congress has since turned its focus elsewhere.
