In the UK we have 24 hour Christian television on Trinity Christian Broadcasting UK. What do you enjoy about it? Is it in your country?
That sounds interesting, I will look for it...

TBN was started in the US by Paul and Saundra Crouch. While they were alive it was a hot bed of the Word of Faith crowd. I have heard that since they passed, it has become more mainstream Pentecostal. But I do not watch it as a rule.

I like TBN UK because it seeks to bring the gospel into every home. It desires to build the kingdom of God and help us to grow strong in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the USA they have TBN network, and they have an app for phones and streaming devices that you can stream live and recorded programs. They also own the Holy Land Experience theme park in Orlando, FL. I have not been, but my grandmother loves it. I am thinking about going sometime next month as they have a great scriptorium with some really interesting historic manuscripts and old Bibles.

TBN is better than much on tv these days. But that said, I choose carefully and don't watch everything there. They have a goal to go take the gospel world wide and do good job at that. But not every preacher their speaks truth, can be fluffed up doctrine etc.. Lot of prosperity teachers there, feel good sermons.

Secular tv is horrible, really it's gotten satanic and it's starting to be in our faces as such. Some commercials are gross. So it doesn't leave a whole lot of choice, lesser of two evils. When TBN gets the rock bands and strobes going, that to me is not edifying.

it had "smile of a child" children's programming which my child watched when younger

just checked & "smile of a child" is on cable now
so that's why it disappeared from our free antennae tv!

I’m sorry but did someone say there is a spotless group over there or a perfect ministry right over here? That is the goal, but we are people and our nature is subject to a world of correction. Controversies have risen with these corrections but don’t always benefit from the same correction as His people see.

Some of us got to meet Paul and Jan Crouch back when they visited some of those metro Churches, large and not so large. They were a loving pair and we loved viewing them week after week amid negative clamor from the natives.

Question is, has the vision of programing been adequately supported by a hierarchy running and pressing soundly? The report has not always faired well, some quite disastrous and of those some long-term setback have surely played a part to plague viewership above the ordinary anti-Pentecostal crowd.

We need to support these workers in prayer to work towards God’s glory by Christ. They certainly ministered to me when I could get standby programming years ago in other parts of the country. Bringing the Gospel to a fallen world has always been the theme, and to my knowledge insightful programming to serve the body.

I have since not been up on TBN’s programming, and related content. I will always hold them in the same light. That being, the work which God has begun in them, He will surely finish to the glory of the blessed Gospel of Christ!

I enjoy listening to Andrew and Sue Evans. Sue leads a prayer programme on TBN and Andrew brings teaching on another programme. Worth listening to!

TBN has certainly been very successful and is very popular around the world, including the UK where it is broadcast on Freeview. It has certainly has been very involved in outreach and has given a lot of aid to different causes for which they are to be commended.

I do not support prosperity theology or the word of faith movement and I have noticed that this is emphasised rather a lot in its programmes. Also theologically I tend to take a more moderate approach to social issues.

That said, I have a particular affection for Christian broadcasting I remember the time I moved into a flat in a new town where I did not know anyone. Having a radio with programmes presented by Christians was a lifeline for me as it helped me to feel less isolated and lonely.

Yes, when I was young, a new Christian, I used to listen to short wave radio Christian programs, they were so good.
