I personally think that's a strong contender for the most racist statement of the year. Easily top 5. Is there any white celebrity who could say that and not have it end their career? They'd at least have to apologize for the next two weeks....

Not really the most culturally relevant person these days. The kids nowadays don't much listen to the Ice Cubes or T's of the world anymore.

I agree with you that Cube's point is probably much more straightforward than the article is trying to make it seem and that's that black people=athleticism. Is it racist? Maybe, probably, but I'm not interested enough in either baseball or Ice Cube to really care about this one dumb statement he made.

It's not discrimination if it's positive discrimination, apparently.

Pretty sure blacks are well over represented in the NFL in relation to % of population. Now orientals, OTOH, seem like they might be on the marginalized side of things.

You would think that there would be considering the demographics of Brooklyn.
