hmmm... --> “If voters were to vote primarily on the basis of their pocketbooks..."

If they put aside other factors, and vote mostly from a worldly desire for more money -- more treasure on Earth....

That would be...really sad for the nation -- just that alone -- don't you agree?

But if God intends to cause America to get what we deserve....well, then it will happen as He wills, I'd guess. If that is the case. But we can pray for mercy, that we not get what we deserve as a nation. We don't want to have more and more start to be like the first 5 or 6 verses of Isaiah chapter 3 here, if He will forgive us our wrongs as a nation.

(let's not go too far in this direction: Isaiah 3 NIV)

I was thinking more of Isaiah 5:20.

Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

In 2016 some Dems who thought that Hilary would win or didnt like her, did not go out to vote.

In 2020 most Dems will turn out to vote for a Dem candidate. All the republicans will turn iut to vote for Trump. In this scenario, Dem candidate will win popular vote.

So it depends on electoral college again.
