Donald Trump's approval rating stands at 40% right now, at the same point in his Presidency Barack Obama's was 41%

Does the 'any reason or no reason' really make sense?

Especially when Congress going the impeaching has an approval rating of 18% and hasn't hit 30% in 10 years (Gallup Polls).

Could you explain how any of those dots connect? What does approval have to do with it? Bill Clinton regularly polled well over 50%, he got impeached.

Also, the reason "any reason or no reason" doesn't make sense is because it is nonsensical. That's not why there's an inquiry.

This isn't a popularity contest.

Impeachment is a process with which the Congress holds some level of accountability over the president. Impeachment is one of the checks and balances the founding fathers placed in our system of government to cutail the rise of US leaders assuming dictatorial powers.

The inquiry being performed is to discover whether such abuses of office have occurred which make the impeachment process necessary.
