I know the times where I have been in danger or need and God has intervened and protected me.
Two muggers once tried to steal my phone, threatening me with a knife, but I was able to simply just walk away from them leaving them in bewilderment.
Years ago, I remember running out of cash and needing a part time job to sustain me. I went for an interview. I had no experience whatsoever, and didn't give a particularly impressive interview, but the manager who interviewed me told me that he felt very moved for me and that's why he offered me the job.
On one occasion, I remember putting my foot off the kerb to cross a road and it as if a hand had stopped me. If I had moved forward one more step then I would have been knocked down by a car that was speeding past.

Throughout my lifetime, a most interesting observation of those little details which in fact a good number of times, turned out to bring old-man inconvenience to his knees. :)

Greetings,

There are countless examples, but this one came to mind.

Several years ago while working on an organic farm, we were servicing a Christian shelter. The farm provided fruit and vegetables in exchange for a small plot of land. It was used for instructional purposes. The harvest went to the shelter.

They had a dog on the premises. I was tasked with mowing (which I loved). I asked if the dog was indoors. No one knew and I had an odd feeling. He usually ran to the fence when someone approached.

My gut told me not to take the mower in and to leave the gate open. When I stepped inside all was quiet. Then he came charging around the corner. He stood a few paces from me barking.

I stared in horror and ran out. He never moved. He stayed in his place and barked. I nervously locked the gate. My heart was pounding. It was a pit bull. I could have been hurt. I was very shaken.

I spoke with my director. My arm was bruised and she wanted to know what happened. She was aghast when I told her. She owned two pit bulls and said running would make them charge. I told her God was watching over me. She agreed.

The incident impacted their willingness to work with the shelter. The dog was supposed to be kept indoors when we were present. I asked two people if the area was clear before I went in. Practically speaking, it was the right call.

Your last example happened to me, as I tried to step out into the road, it was so firm, I was stopped, like trying to walk into a brick wall. At that moment a bus came speeding round the corner! A miracle, I thought it was an angel, whoever it was saved my life, :)

My life did not have an easy start, but one of the biggest ways God has helped me throughout my life is by giving me the ability and the strength to forgive.

Given what happened to me at a very early age, I had absolutely every right to hold it against that person for the rest of my life. But God gave compassion and understanding for that person and set me free from the effect they had on my life. Having experienced that freedom, I find it very hard, even today, to hold grudges. Even today, whenever someone makes me angry, I usually recover very quickly and am able to move on.

Whenever we choose forgiveness, we choose the path of freedom. Freedom to live peaceful, contented, and purposeful lives free of the effects of resentment and fear.

As the proverb goes: "Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife" (Proverbs 30:33).

Thanks to God's unfailing faithfulness, I have enjoyed a life of peace, free of the problems of bitterness and strife.

With the wife and kids packed and in-route to the family farm for vacation, we always struggled to make a 890-mile (1430-k) trip an expeditious affair. Late in the evening and still on the road after everyone else had drifted off to sleep my own eyes succumbed to the spirit of slumber and also drifted off to sleep while cruising at hwy-speed. How long I slept while my hands stayed on the steering wheel, I cannot say. One thing I can say without any danger of over-exaggeration is the moment my eyes, for whatever reason (!) popped open to see a large cement bridge abutment racing towards the truck only about twenty-paces away I quickly jerked the wheel back onto the roadway which awoke the Mrs. who said calmly "Is everything okay?" :prayer:
