How has God been faithful to you?
Your last example happened to me, as I tried to step out into the road, it was so firm, I was stopped, like trying to walk into a brick wall. At that moment a bus came speeding round the corner! A miracle, I thought it was an angel, whoever it was saved my life,I know the times where I have been in danger or need and God has intervened and protected me.
Two muggers once tried to steal my phone, threatening me with a knife, but I was able to simply just walk away from them leaving them in bewilderment.
Years ago, I remember running out of cash and needing a part time job to sustain me. I went for an interview. I had no experience whatsoever, and didn't give a particularly impressive interview, but the manager who interviewed me told me that he felt very moved for me and that's why he offered me the job.
On one occasion, I remember putting my foot off the kerb to cross a road and it as if a hand had stopped me. If I had moved forward one more step then I would have been knocked down by a car that was speeding past.
What an awesome testimony to the faithfulness of God!My life did not have an easy start, but one of the biggest ways God has helped me throughout my life is by giving me the ability and the strength to forgive.
Given what happened to me at a very early age, I had absolutely every right to hold it against that person for the rest of my life. But God gave compassion and understanding for that person and set me free from the effect they had on my life. Having experienced that freedom, I find it very hard, even today, to hold grudges. Even today, whenever someone makes me angry, I usually recover very quickly and am able to move on.
Whenever we choose forgiveness, we choose the path of freedom. Freedom to live peaceful, contented, and purposeful lives free of the effects of resentment and fear.
As the proverb goes: "Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife" (Proverbs 30:33).
Thanks to God's unfailing faithfulness, I have enjoyed a life of peace, free of the problems of bitterness and strife.
I have heard it called a 'micro sleep' an angel was looking after you for sure! Our God is faithfulWith the wife and kids packed and in-route to the family farm for vacation, we always struggled to make a 890-mile (1430-k) trip an expeditious affair. Late in the evening and still on the road after everyone else had drifted off to sleep my own eyes succumbed to the spirit of slumber and also drifted off to sleep while cruising at hwy-speed. How long I slept while my hands stayed on the steering wheel, I cannot say. One thing I can say without any danger of over-exaggeration is the moment my eyes, for whatever reason (!) popped open to see a large cement bridge abutment racing towards the truck only about twenty-paces away I quickly jerked the wheel back onto the roadway which awoke the Mrs. who said calmly "Is everything okay?"
Incredible!I have heard it called a 'micro sleep' an angel was looking after you for sure! Our God is faithful
