It's a lot easier to send them ramen noodles in Guatemala than for them to walk thousands of miles just for a shot at our welfare state lottery.
Like, we got farmers who need mouths to sell to now that China is dining elsewhere. And I get they can't afford what our farmers need to sell at. Fortunately we have money printing machines that can cover the remainder of what Guatemala can't afford.
We could take it out of aid already provided. And even if just ate the cost as taxpayers, that's way cheaper than half of them flooding into America. And the other half...staying and starving I guess?
Yea, these countries got real problems. And relocating entire populations via mass migration doesn't magically make all those problems disappear.
