Why would John be told to measure Herod's temple? The dimensions of that temple were already known. It is a different temple.
It is the Sanctuary of the Temple...........Perhaps I should make a separate thread on the measuring of it along with the Altar of Incense and those worshiping in it.........

Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon
G3354 μετρέω (metreō) occurs 10 times in 9 verses

1st time used:

Mat 7:2
for in what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged, and in what measure<3358> ye measure, it shall be measured to you.

Used in 5 verses of Revelation

Rev 11:1
And there was given to me a reed like to a rod, and the messenger stood, saying, 'Rise, and measure the sanctuary of God, and the altar, and those worshiping in it;
Rev 11:2
and the court that is without the sanctuary leave out, and thou mayest not measure it, because it was given to the nations, and the holy city they shall tread down forty-two months;

Rev 21:15
And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
Rev 21:16
The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
Rev 21:17
Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

It doesn't say what the measurement actually was. But it must be of significance. I am wondering if it doesn't have something to do with the 666 number.

Where are you getting that it is the sanctuary of the temple? And that it is the Altar of Incense? The altar for the burnt sacrifices was outside of the sanctuary. No-one could go into the sanctuary but the priests, to carry out the strict preset actions to be taken. Differently in a church, the sanctuary is the main worship part of the church with the pews, worshipers, and preachers at the pulpit, and a choir.

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

The location of the sanctuary in Revelation 11 is found in the last verse of the chapter.

You ignored that verse, because it does not fit your 70 AD narrative.

Rev 11:19 And opened was the sanctuary of God in the heaven, and there was seen the ark of His covenant in His sanctuary, and there did come lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

It is good that you finally use the word Sanctuary and YLT......

Remember this thread?

What about Revelation 11:1-2 SANCTUARY, COURT AND HOLY CITY

The location of the temple at the beginning of Revelation chapter 11 is found later in the passage.

As I have just shown, the word "Temple<2411>" is never once used in Revelation.
Use a better Bible version like YLT which renders words lie Age, Land/World, Gehenna, Temple, Sanctuary more accurately.

Since the name "Herod" is not found in Revelation chapter 11, and the location of the sanctuary is found in Revelation 11:19, the verse has nothing to do with Herod's temple.

The Temple is shown in Matthew 24  The Olivet Discourse is shown in Revelation, therefore 1st century Jerusalem and the Temple is being shown in Revelation............Jesus says so right here.

The Sanctuary and Court would be inside Herod's Temple which was inside pre70 Jerusalem.

The word "sanctuary" is not found in Revelation chapter 18.
Once again, you are attempting to make your 70 AD doctrine work.
.
The Great City is shown in the 70AD Jerusalem/Temple Discourse........
1st century Jerusalem is in Revelation 18.....you deny it to make your form of Futurism doctrine work and make Jesus out to be a false prophet to the Jews.................

Luke 21:

"great city" occurs 17 times in 17 verses in the YLT.

Luke 21:25-28 is a future event, which occurs when the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled.

Nobody saw Jesus return to planet earth during 70 AD. Therefore, it is actually your doctrine which makes Jesus a false prophet.

This isn't about Jesus returning.........it is about the 70AD Temple, Sanctuary, Court and Jerusalem in Revelation 11:1-2.

Are you denying that the Jerusalem in Luke 21:24 is not the same one as in Revelation 11:2? If so, you are claiming Jesus was a false Prophet to the 1st century Jews to make your form of Zionist Futurism work.....

Let me show you again.........
