From the "Do as I say, not as I do", files: Warren targets Facebook with ad claiming Zuckerberg supports Trump

Sen. Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign is targeting Facebook's policies for political advertisements with a new ad that purposefully makes the false claim that the company and its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, have endorsed President Trump.

Warren and other critics have blasted Facebook in recent days over its refusal to take down a Trump campaign ad that accuses Democratic candidate Joe Biden of corruption without evidence. Facebook has defended allowing the ad to stay on its platform.

"Breaking news: Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook just endorsed Donald Trump for re-election," the mock Warren ad states.
...
"But what Zuckerberg *has* done is given Donald Trump free rein to lie on his platform -- and then to pay Facebook gobs of money to push out their lies to American voters," the ad continues.
...
"Facebook already helped elect Donald Trump once. Now, they're deliberately allowing a candidate to intentionally lie to the American people. This is a serious threat to our democracy," she wrote. "We need transparency and accountability from Facebook."

From the "Do as I say, not as I do", files:
Warren didn't lie in her ad. So I don't know what the above means?

Cherry picking.

Some of us do read the full articles you know.

Warren didn't lie in her ad.
Warren ADMITTED the ad lied!

"We intentionally made a Facebook ad with false claims and submitted it to Facebook’s ad platform to see if it’d be approved. It got approved quickly and the ad is now running on Facebook," she added.

Cherry picking.

Yet ... comprehension apparently doesn't always follow. Elizabeth openly and EXPLICITLY admitted to lying and deceit in her campaign ads.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren's is right. We should be proud of her. Since Biden is running against her. Nothings has been proven. Last I read , its not true. And Trump just tried to dirty his opponent name. So he would win. He should be ashamed. And should be fined every time, this is on an ad .

Yes it had false claims in it AND it pointed out right in the ad itself that it wasn't true. This is what the ad says.....

"Breaking news: Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook just endorsed Donald Trump for re-election," the mock Warren ad states. "You're probably shocked, and you might be thinking, 'how could this possibly be true?' Well, it's not. (Sorry.)"

"But what Zuckerberg *has* done is given Donald Trump free rein to lie on his platform -- and then to pay Facebook gobs of money to push out their lies to American voters," the ad continues.

That's more like an April Fools than a lie.
Mock used as an adjective -
not authentic or real, but without the intention to deceive.

I pray for America. That she would be cleaned up from those who are false and that those who are truthful would rise up as the clear answers to our prayers.
I never got the belief, I will pray for America. Pray for people to do better, get healthy. Not for some country to force us how to live.

Wow, it's amazing how precisely you targeted those ellipses to cut out only the parts that provide the context that shows how dishonest your thread title is.

Exactly!

Like claiming native American ancestry for personal advantage. Like claiming one was fired for being pregnant, when one knew that not to be the case.

More right wing nonsense. Is it really that hard for you guys to levy criticism without making stuff up?

I made nothing up. Is there some question you have so that I can help you understand?

You do know that Warren claimed she was terminated when pregnant, right?

I’m aware of the situation. I’m also aware of the threads we’ve already had where the charges against her were shown to have been unsubstantiated. You may not have made anything up regarding the subject of her pregnancy but you’ve been doing an absolute trash job of vetting your sources, which have been making things up. Based on the way you framed the OP, it doesn’t appear you’re trying too hard to get things right.

Was this a mistake on your part or did you just try to walk back your claim hoping no one was noticing? There is a fairly significant difference between these two lines.
