Did Clapper just admit that Obama started Trump surveillance?

Holy jeez. You guys aren't even trying to stay sane anymore, are you? This should be in the conspiracy theory section.
I just followed the links and had the same thought. This is 100% conspiracy theory propaganda. Clapper doesn’t even mention Strzock in the clips posted and quoted.

The links are to far-right conspiracy junk.
Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in May of 2017.

What was the US to do before that - ignore that Russia was interfering with the US election?

good grief.

Have to agree that this is conspiracy theory stuff. To start with, Strzok was born, per the records we have, in Michigan. Yet this conspiracy theory claims that he was born in Iran and that his parents were there to overthrown (the American installed and backed) Shah.

And it appears what was actually stated from the bits of pieces of interview quoted (haven't found actual interview online yet) is that this was in reference to Russian interference in the election, not about the Trump campaign -- that they wanted all the evidence of Russian interference in a single report.

Clapper interview...
"The message I’m getting from all this is apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh, by the way, blown off what the then commander-in-chief, President Obama, told us to do, which was to assemble all the reporting that we could, that we had available to us -- and put it in one report that the president could pass on to the Congress and to the next administration. And while we’re at it, declassify as much as we possibly could to make it public, and that’s what we did." (Emphasis added.) (Emphasis added)

So yes Obama told them to investigate what Russia was up to.
Was that the wrong thing to do especially with a new administration taking over soon?

"It's known fact that Anderson Cooper is CIA."
I'm sorry not only is your 'Big League Politics' article from July 2018 but they are obviously a conspiracy theory site as well.

Actual CNN interview is embedded in this article.

I think these types of thread show how desperate some Trump supporters are to distract from the impeachment hearings; it doesn't matter how crazy it sounds, or how old it is, just so long as it causes a distraction.

The RNC called me the other day, I'm registered unaffiliated, and they ask one question about the Dems. and the impeachment inquiry. I can't remember the wording now; I should have written it down! Anyway it was a yes or no answer.
I think when the RNC starts polling independent voters with one question they're probably getting nervous.

I don't count pop ups those have been pretty even in number and I don't use FB. I keep my email address close so it isn't out there much. We never give out our cell numbers but our landline is public.

But until very recently you told us you were a Democrat. Wouldn’t you expect them to contact you still?
