I didn't go back to the liberal church I was taken to as a child. There are churches out there that are more traditional. Good traditional churches exists.
A traditional approach is what I find attractive about Catholicism, generally speaking. For me this is similar to the Eastern Orthodox church in that the foundational stability and tradition provide clarity of purpose.
In your experience, do the liberalized churches you have seen maintain a liturgy/mass that is consistent with traditional churches? How or in what way are they liberalized?
My understanding is that if they become too different, then they are not any longer Catholic. What you are alluding to is not to this degree, I assume.
