I've taken comfort in the passages below, knowing that God doesn't expect more of us then we can give, yet He does expect us to do that which we're able to do. Be faithful to what you know of His will, trust His promises, and seek Him more yet. This is a true, living faith- and you will not be ashamed and your labor of faith will not be in vain when you walk in and continue in a living faith in Christ. It is in the times when He is silent and seems withdrawn so that we need to rely only on His Word that are the times when the purest gold is produced when we indeed take him at His Word.
John 14:21-24: "21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me."
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13)
