What is the difference between the Chruch and the World? It is very hard to tell in these end times. Both love the same holidays, they love sports, they love game nights, love movies and television, they almost absolutely abhor holiness, same divorce rates, same fashion, etc. I know thia my stir up some souls but that is good. Christ called his last church Laodicea "lukewarm" (Revelation 3:16).
1 John 2:15-17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
James 4:4 KJV — Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Joshua 24:15 KJV — And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
God has called us to be holy
1 Peter 1:16 KJV — Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Leviticus 20:7 KJV — Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
We compromise with the world, we do worldly things and slap a Christian name tag on the top of it. I know this all too well, i was your man's man when it came to worldly things. I knew a little bit about everything but i couldn't even see that my that my soul was endager of hell fire. I am not judging but speaking the truth only coming from the Word of God.
Galatians 4:16 KJV — Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
We are on the same team i hope so. I love Jesus with every fiber of my being and no i am not perfect, but He is and that is who i strive to imitate.
Deuteronomy 5:33 KJV — Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
Psalm 119:1 KJV — ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
