Every presidential candidate since Nixon, up until Trump has released their tax returns. Trump promised to then blatantly lied, broke the ninth commandment deliberately and without remorse, and you celebrate his lying, congrats.

A federal court on Thursday cleared the way for Donald Trump’s records to be handed over to Democratic lawmakers.

The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit declined to reconsider an August ruling from three judges that gave a House committee the right to Trump’s tax returns for 2015 to 2020. The former president can still challenge the decision in the U.S. Supreme Court, but the appeals court declined a request from Trump to automatically hold the release of records pending that challenge.

When one is possibly engaged in sedition, money laundering, fraud, etc. …. One can expect tax returns and other records to be sought through legal means. One can also expect to sit for depositions and have a day or more in court, where one can swear an oath with one hand on the Bible.

I guess I'm not sure what getting his tax returns will prove or accomplish at this point.

I've touched on this before with regards to some of the Trump investigation stuff.

At what point does it does it go from actually seeking some sort of actual justice, and drift into the realm of satisfying some sort of political bloodlust for "sticking to one's political rivals"?

The Democrats who still seem obsessed with punishing Trump (after he's no longer in office) are starting to more and more resemble the Tea Party people who still obsessed about Obama 18 months after he was out.

I've said it numerous times...you want to actually be done with Trump and take the wind out of the sails of his followers? It's as simple as no longer obsessing about him and letting him drift into obscurity.

Sort of like when a kid acts like they really want a toy only because they know another kid really wants it, and as soon as the other kid loses interest, then they magically no longer want it anymore.

All it would take is democrats to stop talking about him and fixate on someone else for a while, and the staunch Trump supporters would lose interest pretty quickly, and switch their focus to defending whatever person they think Democrats hate the most.

If CNN and MSNBS stop covering it, people would forget all about him. The more they make it their mission to publicize "how bad trump was" the more his supporters are going to dig their heels in.

He's only still relevant because left leaning entities are keeping him relevant.

If they quit covering him, accusations of "Trump's being silenced" will be the result.

Chief Justice Roberts temporarily delays release of Trump tax records

Without the Supreme Court’s intervention, the records could have been handed over to the House Ways and Means Committee as early as Thursday.
