It's a sad commentary on our times that most of Donald's claims are suffixed with "on no evidence". We all know he makes claims on no evidence or contrary to all known evidence. It doesn't matter to him.

Hunter Biden had no experience in the field — but he did have a notable connection to the vice president, who publicly has bragged about making clear to the Ukrainians that he alone controlled U.S. aid to the country. A stepson of former Senator and Secretary of State John Kerry also was asked to serve as a director but reportedly declined and warned Hunter Biden not to do it; Biden didn’t listen.

All of this should be of some interest to the media, which has exhaustively — and rightfully — pursued foreign deals by the Trump family. And there is no reason why the media cannot pursue allegations against both the Trumps and the Bidens.

That, however, would counter the narrative that there’s “nothing wrong” with Hunter Biden’s dealings and it’s all a “lie” that’s best to ignore.

Oh, I know the answer! TRUMP! Literally nothing Trump does can be criticized because it is ALWAYS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Even if it means seeking foreign aid to win elections, abandoning allies to be slaughtered, toadying to every single dictator on earth, or, even having sex outside of marriage with a sex worker while his wife is sitting home taking care of his latest baby!

I suppose the moral of the story is that corruption is unimpeachable so long as the funds are diverted to the offspring of the corrupt. Then we can't complain, lest our opponents accuse us of picking on their kids.

You have a president who lies, blatantly and publicly, over and over and over and over again. What are the people obliged to spread his continual lies over the airwaves supposed to do? Just nod their heads like zombies and ignore their own good sense?
All politicians (like all other people) fail to live up to their promises, mislead people for different reasons etc. Trump is something else entirely. He behaves exactly as Trumpists say his opponents do - he is judge, jury and wannabe executioner. Anyone who is in his way can expect to be smeared and slandered to the nth degree. Despite their being charged with nothing and without any evidence he rants about how his political opponents should be locked up, and his zombie followers all join in the chant. It really is the theatre of the absurd on a grand scale.
