And people wonder why I am not a Christian

I do not disagree with you on what you said in your post before this part, but do not let the imperfect humans - and that includes myself - who merely invoke the name of Christ as Who and What they stand for turn you away. Look at the Man named Jesus Christ Himself in the four gospels of the Bible, His words and actions, and then honestly decide for yourself.

No threats or judgment on my part, Mr. Tanj. Only my sincere advice.

I assume there are very, very, very few people in USA that support Open Borders.

Correct...but there's a certain political demographic, let's just call them die-hard Trump supporters, that seem to be under the impression that anything less than draconian policies including a massive border wall are "open borders"

Why not Sarah? Why should I not judge a religion by the actions and attitudes of its adherents?

Because the God of that faith should be what's important, here. Not the flawed humans who of course will not mimic Him perfectly. ... Our trust is in a God we believe not only exists but to be perfect and will set everything right with the world some day.

I am a living example. I do not believe for a second that Scripture teaches that God has made or will make all human souls immortal to eternally torture the unbelieving ones in hell one day. I think it is a gross misinterpretation of Scripture and an abhorrent personal belief that greatly harms our witness and actually turns more people away from the Gospel than draws them. Yet the majority of Christians believe in the traditional heaven and hell. .... Did I look at them all and say, oh, well, if they all believe it, then God must be the same way, therefore I can't believe in Him anymore or be a Christian. No. I saw a much different God both the Old and the New Testament. Just because we all say we believe in Christ doesn't mean we're going to get everything right about Him and mimic Him perfectly. (And I am sure we will have to answer for all the ways in which we did not, someday, even if we may be forgiven for it.) Don't let us stand in your way of seeking.

That is all I will say on this matter.

What a world we live in. If I ran over the border and entered another country illegally, how in the world would I have the audacity to expect health care? The reason there are laws is to try and keep order. I believe there are some special cases where a person(s) should be given safe haven (eg their life is legitimately threatened for an irrational reason). Other than that, there is are policies and procedures to entering a country in order to protect the population of that country.

People in prison get medical treatment don't they?

Some USA folk are just downright ruthless.

Yes but, for sure not the best medical.
From usually what I have heard if having a bad tooth problem the tooth is just pulled out. No extra good care. Cheap

A guy we know in jail who needed both veins in his neck cleaned out -- only had one worked on by hospital staff.

I'm betting the proponents of Open Borders will find that quite reasonable since you only have to print the money to fund it.
Who is a proponent of open borders? Please be specific and provide supporting evidence.

We have borders for a REASON the Bible too supported the idea of borders....
Really? My Bible says that Jesus dissolves the barriers that divide people. Paul writes in Ephesians that God is bringing all things together in Christ.

If they are illegally here we owe them nothing.
Same with people who haven't worked enough quarters to subsidize the money we're spending for their health insurance.

Oh, and kids. And non-working spouses.

Owed nothing. All of them. Being born here isn't enough - no freeloaders.

Why not Sarah? Why should I not judge a religion by the actions and attitudes of its adherents?
because not all of us are the same there are over two BILLION people who claim to be Christians on this Earth and there is a WIDE range of different feelings and actions and attitudes within that. How much sense does it make to judge a group any group whether it be religion nationality race whatever else by the actions of a few?

The Bible also mentions borders different lands for different people. The Bible also mentions more importantly laws that must be followed and so if you do not follow those laws there are punishments.

There seems to be a large amount of USA folk that would be fine with sick people with treatable illnesses to die outside the hospital walls.

But I reckon it would make more sense to address immigration and illegal crossings rather than to cut off medical treatment for sick people.
People in prison get medical treatment don't they?

Some USA folk are just downright ruthless.
Yes they do and they are in government custody. Therefore the government is to a certain extent responsiable for their wellbeing just like parents and guardians are responsiable for the wellbeing of any minors in their care.

The Bible also mentions borders different lands for different people.

Except when the land on the other side of those borders is promised to them by God. Then it's totally cool to defy their immigration laws and "utterly destroy" them. Deuteronomy 20:10-17

If they are illegally here we owe them nothing.

If they're human beings, we can at least give them a check-up and a flu shot before deporting them...
