No, the Bible speaks with authority, and continues to do so because its never been proven wrong, not once.
Great comeback! So convincing.Malarkey
I was just referring to creationist quotes generally - IM had laughably claimed that creationists quoted biologists who wrote approvingly of creationism.I don't know about your case because I don't remember what you quoted, but it is very common.
"There is no God." --Psalm 14:1
I'm starting to hear scrambling.
I’m not trying to break new ground or make anyone question ‘micro evolution.’ I have repeatedly said in these threads that there is no question that evolution happens to a certain extent (in the form of adaptations within parameters, and they’ve been observed), but beyond that ‘macro evolution’ is merely interpreting evidence in an unobservable way… and it’s only speculation and ‘connecting dots’ at best, it’s not proof.Must be your own feet.
Really, you're not breaking new ground on anything in this thread, and it's clear that any attempt by you to try and make anyone question evolution is really just you repeating your own religious views.
Like... really, why do you take issue with the fact that humans are biologically animals? Why is that such an issue with you that you have to try and separate man from them?
but beyond that ‘macro evolution’ is merely interpreting evidence in an unobservable way… and it’s only speculation and ‘connecting dots’ at best, it’s not proof.
There is zero proof that species gradually appear through a slow transformation from a common ancestor (something other than man). In fact, you could say its science fiction because it has not been observed happening, and there is no way to test it, thus it cannot be confirmed.
So, people should speak up, and not be ashamed or be made to feel stupid if they believe in Creation. That’s my issue here.
"associate with those you can learn from"I’m not trying to break new ground or make anyone question ‘micro evolution.’ I have repeatedly said in these threads that there is no question that evolution happens to a certain extent (in the form of adaptations within parameters, and they’ve been observed), but beyond that ‘macro evolution’ is merely interpreting evidence in an unobservable way… and it’s only speculation and ‘connecting dots’ at best, it’s not proof.
Christians shouldn't let evolutionary science create doubt in the Bible regarding God's creation of man. There is zero proof that species gradually appear through a slow transformation from a common ancestor (something other than man). That message is for you too."associate with those you can learn from"
lol
I think it's an admirable goal to aim for. The difference between you and me is that, when I find those people, I listen and try to learn rather than belittle and refuse to learn. That message is for you too.
And that makes it so?There are things in biology that only make sense from the perspective of shared ancestry.
I'm just enjoying discussions and learning. And much as you keep trying to project your own disbelief onto others, it's not going to accomplish anything here.
Please give me a break with the lack of knowledge stuff. Evidence left behind is evidence left behind and can be observed, yes, but the actual situation can't be determined without some speculation. This only confirms that you don't understand the science behind evolution. Not everything has to be observed in real-time in order to be tested. In the case of the evolutionary history of life on Earth, it is tested by way of the evidence left behind of the process of evolution (which we do observe in real-time in modern populations).
Do you actually think I would spend months on end here if I wasn't trying to learn? If it was otherwise, I'd have tired of it long ago.The problem is that most creationists have little to no understanding of the science they are trying to argue against and no desire to educate themselves. They are their own worst enemy in that regard.
Don't you think this concise answer to one of your questions above, "Evidence left behind is evidence left behind and can be observed, yes, but the actual situation can't be determined without some speculation" displays some understanding of things? You're not going to get a book out of me.Even your own comment about "no way to test [macroevolution]" reveals a fundamental lack of understanding of how science works. If you don't want to be perceived as ignorant of these things, then the onus is on you to educate yourself.
I think you misunderstand me.I think it's an admirable goal to aim for. The difference between you and me is that, when I find those people, I listen and try to learn rather than belittle and refuse to learn.
You need to work a lot harder on your communication skills, then. I'd also suggest that you ought to try learning from those trying to educate you and stop belittling what they have to say.I think you misunderstand me.

We could all stand some of that improvement... don't you think? You need to work a lot harder on your communication skills, then. I'd also suggest that you ought to try learning from those trying to educate you and stop belittling what they have to say.
Yes, I have my opinion and disagree with you a lot, and I don't care to speak up.So you really have no genuine reason for this sort of thread.
That's not true. Again, "Do you actually think I would spend months on end here if I wasn't trying to learn? If it was otherwise, I'd have tired of it long ago."You have no desire to learn about what you rail against and your entire issue is clearly just a religious one.
