Can't imagine taking my marriage vows with the pastor officiating via telcomm, while he is obviously killing two birds with one stone.

We see that often around here.
Serious question or topic discussed
and what some think to be funny response.
Key point ( some think).

Pray on Bob and drop one for me.Not an easy question to ask but,
I'm going for it.
I do a lot of praying while sitting on the pot in the morning.
Been doing this for many years.
Starting to wonder if this may be disrespectful?
Something almost always included in these prayers is a thank you that everything is working good down here. As we get older we understand what a blessing it is to have good working body parts.
A serious question asked.
Curious regarding your thoughts.
Have a blessed day,
Bob
I dont see anywhere in the Bible where it says pooping and praying is forbidden..... Pray wherever you want as long as you pray. Disrespectful to God? no way. your giving thanks in all situations, even though this one is a little odd. Pray on!!Not an easy question to ask but,
I'm going for it.

I've always considered that it is disrespectful.
Even though I know that He see's everything and is everywhere, I just can't bring myself to mixing things of Him and my basic animal functions. Not that I think He would be particularly offended (After all I'm not offended when my kids scream at me from the toilet), but it just seems a bit off.
(perhaps the condition of being uncovered too ? ) as written...."Deut. 23:12-14 --
Designate a place outside the camp where you can go to relieve yourself. As part of your equipment have something to dig with, and when you relieve yourself, dig a hole and cover up your excrement. For the LORD your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you."

I havn't had the same issue in the shower however. In fact, given how nice it is to wash away the dirt, it is a good reminder of what He does for us.(perhaps the condition of being uncovered too ? ) as written....
hmmm ... I duuno .... some things are best left unsaid .... this might be one of them LOL

After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
“No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.”
Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”
“Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” John 13
I used to attend a reading & discussion group at my Church, and a similar topic came up once. Someone asked, "Is it ok to read the Bible while I'm using the bathroom?" The response from my priest was that "It's ok to use the bathroom while reading the Bible, but not to read the Bible while using the bathroom." He explained that the reading ought to be the primary activity, not a secondary thing "just to pass the time". I think the same would be applicable to prayer. Not an easy question to ask but,

I had one my most precious insights while in the loo. I know someone who had a vision of the City of Darwin being smashed, just before it was hit by a massive cyclone (1974). Nothing wrong with the loo as a place of prayer. And for God to speak to us.Not an easy question to ask but,

Me too. I had a scare about 4 years ago. It was no fun at all.Interesting place in which to prophecy.
I think I'm ok with my little thoughts
and communication.
As we get older and start to suffer with ailments never seen before and seeing friends suffering and dieing what comes to mind most every day is --
Thank You That Everything's Working Down Here.
