At some point one assumes His will was not done there, seeing as the traditional belief is that Satan and a third of the Angels fell.

Anyway, the way I see it, this is more supposed to be that we must try and conform as closely with the Will of God as possible. God being the origin of Good and Morality, this asks God to help us be godly and holy, as God is. In Heaven, in front of the Beatific presence of God, I would assume acting not in accord with Him would be impossible to men.

Satan has 0 rule in heaven, it's God's uncontested domain. If Gods will be done on earth, there would be no satanic influence. It's a plea to not let Satan rule in us or on earth. We can only work on ourselves to allow Christ to dwell richly in us. The day hasn't come yet where Satan has no rule on earth. Just look around you lol !! Additionally it's pretty much a daily plea, let each day be made new in Christ Jesus for we know not what a day brings.

The Lords prayer while a good prayer in and of itself was to be an example, an outline of how to pray, that's why Jesus said to pray in like manner. IE, hit all those topics in your prayer life. He didn't say to recite this prayer. I've heard some great sermons on how to pray like the Lords prayer but not reciting the Lords prayer, where the pastor expanded on each topic within the prayer itself.

That said, when reciting the Lords Prayer we feel peace don't we ? We are aligning with Him if we pray it with meaning in our daily walk and not just a canned response . And that's really the point of the whole thing. We always need to align or agree with God, this needs to be in our hearts, that desire. We don't do that perfectly here on earth, they have it nailed down in heaven.

"thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"
But that could mean we agree and support the way God's will is being done on earth as in heaven?
What is keep God's will from being done?
How do you define God's will?

We know the will of God from reading the Bible. First we know from this prayer that God's will is done in Heaven. His plan is for Earth to become as Heaven is. In addition to the Bible there are books written about Heaven from people that have been there or had a vision of Heaven.

Line upon line, precept upon precept, a little here a little there.

I'm asking in post #1 and post #3

"What exactly is God's will in heaven?"

thank you for replies so far
I don't know the answer & why am asking
By some definitions God's will is being done on earth as it is in heaven.
If you define God's will as His desire, that is now being done in heaven but not on earth and will never be done on earth. I do not thing Jesus would ask us to pray for something that cannot happen, so I would opt for the first definition being used by Christ here.
