Some people here think Greta Thunberg is a joke, or should be treated like such. I don’t get it. Why do some people here find her worthy of ridicule?

I'm not convinced that any teenager has the wit and wisdom to solve the world's problems. It's easy enough to point them out. Fixing them is not so simple. My question is, why is she getting so much attention?

well she is a child isnt she she not an adult and is unable to make the choice of coming to Jesus to be born again because of the adults around her

Not everyone is a child of God. You must be born again. Otherwise, no.

Only certain people are children of god? What god do you follow, who is so exclusive? Certainly not the god of Jesus?

I follow the Lord Jesus Christ, born of His Spirit and washed in His blood. The same Lord Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, told the Pharisees that their father is the devil. If you are not born of God, you are not a child of God. Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6.
If you are trying to say that all people are created in God's image, I agree. But it not the same thing.

Do you understand that she was making a silly joke here in response to a comedy video, not a serious statement?

She's an appealing image and she speaks well.

She hasn't been offereing solutions to the worlds problems, more asking that people actually acknowledge that they exist and take responsibility for doing something about it.

She's the successor of Jesus Christ. The Church of Sweden told us so. In which case we better do as she says and go back to not using electricity and living like 15th century peasants. Then Greta will be happy and then we as a society can say we've succeeded.

Hi Emmylouwho, if we are ~ALL~ God's children, then what would be the point of His giving us the right to become His children through faith?

p.s. - not only were we ~not~ His children before we became Christians (like all other unbelievers), it appears that we were also His "enemies", and He ours, until we came to faith in Jesus.

Romans 5
8 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Because she has the will power and bravery to not accept the ineptitude of older generations, content on allowing my generation to suffer the consequences of a global catastrophe.

Her age has zero to do with her capacity to understand the recommendations that followed from the scientific consensus on climate change.

What's childish is ignoring it.
