So what do we do with the lazy ones who chose not to work?
Seems fair -- simple food and (minimal health insurance) which is now already offered.
MB
How do you know these people were lazy and choose not to work? Some could have got different jobs. Or had very low paying jobs by a family member. Or maybe they have to help family members.

Reminds me of when I owned a bicycle shop at a very young age. I quit that job and preferred to go work for a company that offered me better pay and good benefits.

To each his own but, if one wishes to be in business for themself I should not have to pay for their medical and other benefits.

Very hard to retire from a sidewalk taco stand.

Especially when half the money is sent to family back in Mexico.

Couple of snarky, bigoted comments that remind me why we don't want Trump's people running the country.

Here in San Diego I have known and seen plenty who do that.

Mexico's #1 source of income.

That's why Trump will easily win in 2020.

I suspect you may be right. No doubt you are positively ecstatic at the prospect of it. But in my own way I am ready for it, too.

You should. The purpose of healthcare is to ensure that everyone remains working.
It would have nothing to do with the size of the enterprise or the whims of any specific employer. Plus no employers could chain you to them as the only source of healthcare for the workers family. Everyone who works get healthcare. Even a baby sitter, or a senator, or the CEO of General Electric.

Then "we" better put up someone who can beat him.

I'm not a Trump 'person'. I'm a fan but not a supporter (I don't support any candidate). However, I would support Kasich and hope he eventually runs again.

I'm sure they are trying to do their best, but the thirst for revenge is a strong motivation.

True. I'd want revenge too if someone gored my ox or butchered my sacred cow.

I have worked with the homeless for many years and I can say that the majority of them wish not to work.

Not to work full time for a lifetime anyway. Some of them prefer day labor just enough money to buy another bottle or drug. I have hired many of those to do work here on the property.

Yes, that's retirement for you.
HARD WORK pays off.
M-Bob

Is it "hard" if you really enjoy it. I used to quit my cushy meat cutting jobs, tossing 150 pound beef quarters around, to work outdoors in the summer; landscaping and tree trimming. Now that's hard work, especially laying sod, and climbing with rope and saddle (I did work out of a bucket truck as well). Loved it!
